I gave Jamie a big smile before he got out of the car to open my door for me. He outstretched his hand and I grabbed it as I slowly got out of the car. I slammed the door shut and followed him into the building where we walked up to a counter to get our golf balls and clubs.
"What color ball would you like?" The lady asked from behind the counter. I pondered this for a minute as I stared at the ball display on the wall.
"Hmmm... I'll take a blue ball!" I looked at Jamie and he was grinning at me,
"You like blue?" I nodded. "I like blue too!" He said as his eyes lit up. I squeezed his hand as the lady handed me a royal blue colored ball. She then asked what color Jamie wanted and he politely asked for a green ball.
"You can get your clubs outside." The lady said with a smile. We thanked her and began walking outside to figure out what size clubs we needed. I took a club with a green handle, as did Jamie. We were about the same height. We then had to agree on which course we wanted to go on and decided on the one with the waterfall. I was so excited to be here with Jamie! He linked his fingers with mine then did the little look and look away. I smiled at him. We stepped up to the first hole and I put my ball down on the fake green grass.
"You better step back!" I said to Jamie and winked at him. He smiled and took a few small steps back. I lined up my club with the ball and gave it a tap. It rolled down the fairway and stopped about 3 inches from the hole.
"Dang it!" I shouted and stomped my foot on the ground. Jamie just stood there laughing.
"Ehem? Why are you laughing!" I glared at him. He slowly walked up to me with puppy fog eyes and hugged me, nuzzling his head into my neck. I petted his hair,
"Aww! It's ok." I said sarcastically. He started laughing again. I pushed him away grinning and giggling like an idiot.
"It's your turn!"
"Alright alright, I'll go!" He placed his ball where I did before and he tapped it and it flew down the felt and bumped into the wall before it fell into the hole.
"YES!" Jamie yelled, and did the little Tiger Woods fist pump. I stood there with my mouth gaped open as he turned around with the biggest smile I've ever seen. He trotted over to me and wrapped his arms around my waist and kissed my forehead. I broke out of my gaze and wrapped my arms around his neck to return the hug.
"Guess we should finish up the hole." I released him and turned around , there was line of about 4 people watching us.
"Oops! Sorry!" I said while laughing. We must have been standing there hugging for awhile. I picked up my putter from the ground which I must have dropped after Jamie got that hole in one. I walked over to where my blue ball had stopped, inches from the hole and tapped it into the whole.
"Not bad!" Jamie said with a smirk. I smiled and winked at him, then bent down to recieve my ball from the hole.
We finished up our next 8 holes, Jamie ended up winning. He was just so good! I pouted on our way back to the car, and he just laughed at me. He opened to door for me, and I slid into my seat before crossing my arms. He rolled his eyes and shut the door. He got into the drivers seat and stared at me until i looked back at him.
"Can I help you?" I said, waiting for a response.
"You're just so pretty." He said, then looked down at his hands. I quickly turned to look out my window, and felt my cheeks get hot. I smiled. I turned my attention back to Jamie,
"So what's next?" I asked, curious if the date was going to continue. I pondered this for a bit, just to keep him on the edge of his seat.
"Well, I was thinking we could get some ice cream." He grinned, hoping to get a positive response.
"Hmm... I guess we could do that." I said, trying not to smile and ruin it.
"We dont have to if you don't want to!" He panicked. I laughed.
"I'm kidding. I love ice cream!"
