Flames and Waves (Leo Valdes x Reader)

Chapter 2

Jason's POV:

"Leo, whats up?" I asked as a noticed that he was staring at the ocean. "Hmm... I was.. Uh... Just thinking. Yea. Of a uh... New invention. Yea! I wanted to make Festus a friend." Leo said. I could tell he was lying. I shrugged it off and realized that Piper was trying to get something out of (Y/N). She kept shaking her head.

Piper's POV:

"Did you to kiss, did you hug, did you even stare into each others eyes romantically?" I asked (Y/N). She kept shaking her head. She wasn't going to crack. I had even tried using charm-speak. She just put in her earphones and turned the volume all the way up blocking me out. I fell into the sand annoyed that she wouldn't crack.  I stared at Leo and Jason he was trying to get him to crack too. He met my eyes and mouthed 'anything?' I shook my head disappointed. I felt shame run though me. I stared at (Y/N)'s song on her phone. The song on there was "Thinking Out Loud" by Ed Sheeran. I walked over and saw Leo plugin his headphones. I saw he was playing the same song. I watched as they looked at each other and store into each others eyes. Did you erase it? (Y/N) mouthed. Leo shook his head. I never got the chance. He mouthed back. I saw Festus. I walked over to him and motion for Jason to walk over with me. He walked over and I told Festus to show us the footage last night. We saw a video of (Y/N) and Leo kissing. I did my 'I ship it' dance I made up one day. I turned to see (Y/N) and Leo gone. Percy ran over panting. "What's wrong?" Jason asked. "(Y/N) and Leo. I saw them under the sea. In the same bubble! Then I saw Leo kiss (Y/N) on the cheek. I need you guys to watch them for me cause I have to go on a date with Anabeth. Also, I know one thing for sure is (Y/N) is afraid of fire. Wait... She doesn't know Leo's secret does she? Of course she doesn't anyways her is my water proof camera one of the Hephaestus kids gave me. Take a video of everything down there. Gotta go, bye!" He said quickly handing us the camera. I took it and he ran off. We were going to take turns. Once someone was out of breath the other person would keep filming. I was kinda uncomfortable spying in them, but we still have a right to know what they are doing.

Your POV:

"Leo, no way!" I said. "Yep, I had a crush on a girl with ice in her heart. Literally." He replied. I laughed. "You always know what to say!" I said smiling. "And what to do." He replied as he kissed me on the cheek. I scooted closer to him an layed my head on his shoulder. He wrapped his arms around me and layed my head in his chest we watched the fish swim by. His arms felt really warm. He let go and pushed me back. "Leo why did yo-" I said then turned around and saw him on fire. My bubble broke as I lost concentration on it. He cooled off and started to look for air. I brought back the bubble. He breathed heavily. "I forgot to tell you that I can set myself on fire and am fire resistant and stuff like that." He said. "Well you should have told me! I'm terrified of fire!" I screamed. "I won't hurt you. I promise, come here." He said calmly. He wrapped his arms around me and kissed my forehead. I felt the good scorch thing again. I knew what it was from now. He turned me around and we stared at the sea again. I felt something around my neck. I felt my neck and felt a chain and a charm. I looked at it. I saw a black gem with stripes of dark blue. It was beautiful. I felt warmer as I realized Leo was on fire again. He smiled. "It will protect you from my fire." He said. I smiled and jumped into his flaming arms. I was still sorta tense but he stroked my hair calmly and I relaxed. I fell asleep in his arms and his held me for while.

Leo's POV:

She fell asleep in my arms. I felt as if all the horrible things that have happened are gone. She is the one. I knew it. A voice muttered in my ear, "She isn't the one. Leo, think of all the other children of the big three. They are just too powerful. She belongs with someone that is as powerful as she is." 

I shrugged it off even though I knew it was true. She needs someone like Jason or Nico in her life of me I'm just her friend.

I saddened and ended up starting to cry. My tears landed on her head. I wiped them away and continued playing with her hair as her arm grasped around mine. I stared off into the sea and saw a few fish and a shark or two follow my a pod of dolphins. It was so calming I fell asleep with (Y/N)'s head buried in my chest, my arms around her. She was curled up in my arms. Her breaths so calming I tried to stay awake but failed. She was just so calming.
