Sasuke's POV

It didn't take long for Kakashi's ninja hounds to catch the scent of Itachi's blood and we had traced them back to the uchiha hide out. We landed on a branch the hide out was 50 meters away but my head was pounding and my back had started to bleed again.

"Sasuke are you okay," Sakura asked

"I'm fine," I said, gasping for air.

"Maybe we should take a brake before going in," Kakashi offered.

"No, we have to get to Mirita," I said standing up," lets go,"

We all began heading for the hide out not wasting another moment.

Mirita POV

It was so quiet there was no noise anywhere only the echo of my tears touching the cold cement beneath my feet. My head ached, my ankles and wrist bleed.

"Sasuke," I whispered," please, please , help me," But I knew no one was coming, I was alone, just like that night.

BOOM!!!
 

Suddenly a fire ball destroyed the wall to my left nearly taking me out with it.
 

"MIRITA," Kakashi yelled. Sasuke ran in behind him.

"Sasuke grab Mirita, Sakura guard them."

Sasuke rushed over me and melt the chains with his fire, he couldn't the cuffs without burning me though so he left them. He lifted me onto his back and told me to hold on.

"Sasuke, Sakura I wont to get Mirita back to the village," Kakashi ordered

"No Itachi is mine to kill," Sasuke argued

"Sasuke you have to give up on revenge I wont let you be consumed by hatred," Kakashi replied.

"What is this a rescue team," Itachi mocked, immerging from the shadows.

"Sakura take care of Mirita," Sasuke whispered, he slowly put me down leaning up against a wall.

"But Sasuke I think," Sakura muttered

"Shut up just do it," He growled, before he joined Kakashi.

"Sasuke don't make me do this," Kakashi warned. But Sasuke didn't answer. Just as kakashi charged at Sasuke, Itachi appeared to stop him he knocked him unconscious with genjutsu. I could hear Sakura beginning to cry and the tension in the room was high.

Without warning Sasuke and Itachi charged towards each other kunai in had, they began their battle but it was obvious Itachi had the upper hand. He had Sasuke backed up against a wall. But then Sasuke began to change, black marks covered his body head to toe and I had no idea what was happening.

"th-the curse mark," Sakura whimpered.

"What," I asked.

"During the Chunin exams Sasuke was put under a curse mark by orochimaru. It gives him extra power but it feeds on his chakra if he uses it took long." She explained

Sasuke had managed to get Itachi on the defence and was landing multiple blows on him. Without warning Itachi caught Sasuke of guard and let a fire going straight towards him. Somehow Sasuke's speed increased and he managed to get behind Itachiand he thrusted a kunai through his neck. Itachi body turned to multiple crows and dispersed.

"Where is he?" I questioned.

"He's gone," stated waking up from the genjutsu.", It was only a clone."

Sasuke was furious, eyes red as blood he really wanted to kill Itachi. I wonder what it felt like, the instinct to kill. I guess I'm better off not knowing. Sasuke's curse mark had receded and he feel to the ground drained of all his chakra. I ran to up to him and rested his head on my knees.

"Sasuke, sasuke are you okay you have to hold on" I cried

His deadly red eyes turned back to normal and he stared up at me.

"Miri-Mirita, I'm sorry I couldn't save you." A tear of blood dripped from his right eye and he lost consciousness.
