Promises and a forgotten goal (Last chapter)

Sasuke was taken to hospital and had been put into a coma I had asked Kakashi if instead of resting in the hospital he could rest at home. He had agreed and I had spent every minute of my time taking care of him and not leaving his side. Kakashi had also resealed his curse mark to reassure me and Sakura he would be ok. Every night I would sleep beside him and would hold his hand, I can't lose him, I can't lose him.

"Sasuke please wake up," I cried.

"What are you crying for?" He winced.

Tears covered my face and joy consumed me. I threw my arms around his neck and cried my heart out. He didn't argue and hugged back.

"I'm so glad your awake," I cried, Sasuke remained silent and pulled back from the hug.

"Mirita I'm sorry,"

"So you should be, do you know how worried I was I haven't slept in 6 days." He drew me closer and hugged me tight.

"I'm so sorry," By now Sasuke and I were both crying. His hug was so warm, I was felt so safe in his arms.

"Sasuke can I ask you something." He continued to hug me and nodded.

"Please stop chasing Itachi," I spoke. The shock of my demand, shock him to the bone, and he retreated from the hug. He stared at the floor with serious eyes.

"Sasuke I know we lost our parents, our clan, our friends, but dwelling on the past isn't going to help anything,"

"But please stay here with me don't chase him, we can be happy together, and if you can't stop chasing him, let me help you," I demanded

"I don’t want you to get hurt, I need you to stay here and be safe." He considered

"Sasuke, Sasuke I love you please," I cried

"I love you too Mirita I promise I'll try to forget about revenge," He spoke

"I'll be with you every step of the way, I'll never leave you Sasuke,"

Sasuke laid down pulling me close to him, I pressed my head on his chest and he held me close.

"Mirita?" He asked

"Yes what is it,"

"I'm so glad I found you in that forest."

"Me too Sasuke me too,"

Sasuke pulled Me closer pressing his warm lips against mine, I hugged him around the neck and pulled him closer, enjoying his presense. 

With that we both remained silent and I could feel the darkness being lifted from Sasuke heart. How do you like them apples Itachi, I thought to myself.

Sasuke POV

I guess that day in the forest I didn't save her she saved me from living my life in the past. I owe this girl my life. I vow to protect Mirita for the rest of my life.

And for Itachi well I guess he can just go fuck himself then. XD
