Pain

Manik goes behind Nandani. Nandani starts running on to the streets. Manik calls her name several times , but she doesn't listen. It starts raining, but that doesn't bother Nandani. Both of them a drenched in water. Finally, Manik catches up. He holds her elbows and Nandani turns instantly and shouts
Nan- WHAT MANIK, what do you want, why can't you leave me alone
Man- Nandani I can never leave you alone, not in this condition, what is going on, I just said to calm down and you got angry. Is there something I need to know
Nan- no, i am tired
Nandani said slowly. She was looking tired and trying to hide something, which Manik noticed. She looked like she wanted to show her emotions, but she couldn't
Man- are you ok?
Nan- yes, I just, I just
Nandani couldn't hold it. She hugged him tightly, like she will never let him go. There was no sound, except the sound of nandani's sobs.
Manik felt something wet of his shoulder. He forced her to get out of the hug. He looked at her. Her brown eyes were filled with tears, which all fell on both of her chubby cheeks making it wet. Manik cleaned them off.
Nan- Manik, I am just tired please take me home
Man- ok
Manik turned to go, but Nandani holds his hands
Nan- I can't walk, pls hold me
Manik looked in her eyes. He instantly picked her up as a father to his baby.
They walked through the roads as they were really far from the parlor. They looked in each other's eyes. Manik saw pain in her eyes. He promised to comfort her. Nandani saw love in his eyes.(pls listen to " the look of love" by Diana Krall ) They kept walking for a long time. They stayed unspoken. Their eyes were the ones who spoke.
