Clumsy Meetings

Y/n's Pov.

I didn't want to be rude to reiner but he was startling me and it was making me kind of nervous. Everything was fine until everyone started to surround me then I just freaked out again. I wish everyday simple things were easier for me but of course they weren't and are probably never going to be. At least I'm not a total outcast but I will be soon if I don't stop acting this way. I really want to talk to someone about everything but I really don't know who. I barely know anyone yet and even if I do tell someone they might spread it around. You figure that it should be about lunch and even so there's not much more to do.

The scouts are coming today too, to overlook hand to hand combat. You were not very excited about that, considering your small size and timid nature. You would have to try your best, even if that wasn't very good. You start walking towards the mess hall even though you'll probably just end up waiting outside for a while but once you arrive you hear voices. You peek inside the slightly open door to see, Levi Ackerman, Erwin Smith, Mike Zacharias, and Hanji Zoe of the Survey Corps. You immediately turn around to wait outside but, you being you, end up twisting your feet up and falling inside on your back. Everyone in the room turns to face you and you immediately stand up and give as strong of a salute as you can under the circumstances.

"S-sorry, for intruding! I-I was just seeing who was in-n here," You stutter out, looking down.

"What is your name cadet?" Erwin asks.

"Y-y/n l/n, Sir."

"Well, y/n, what made you stumble in on our meeting?" He questions.

"I w-was done with pract-tice so I decided to wait outside b-but I heard something so I peeked in but I s-slipped," You explain.

"Just wait outside, brat," levi sighs turning back to the papers on the table.

"O-okay," You say, turning back around and sit on the porch steps leading to the building. 'There I go, messing things up again,' You think to yourself. You know you shouldn't but you can't help to think about how handsome Erwin, Levi, and Mike were, but, of course, you had to make a fool of yourself as usual. You don't notice when others started to show up or when a blonde boy sits down next to you.

"Hey, y/n? Are you okay?" He asks. You look over, slightly surprised.

"Y-yeah, I think so," You respond while smiling at his kindness.

"If you want to talk about anything you can come to me," Armin chirps. 'That's what I was thinking about earlier,' you think.

"Well, actually maybe we can talk later?" You ask quietly.

"Sure, how about before dinner?" the young boy asks. You nod your head and you both sit there until someone opens the doors. Everyone files in and you wait for everyone to get in line before you. You get your food and look around for a table to sit at. You didn't really feel like talking so you sat at the first empty table that you saw and quickly claimed the spot. Luckily, everyone decided to leave you alone for today. You were just grumpy(if you get what I'm hinting at then comment if you want me to do something with it XD).

Lunch quickly ends and everyone heads back to the training grounds. You were not excited about this... at all. Especially who your partner was. Jean. Great this would be fun. You didn't want to be rude to him but you had a feeling he would be a little too cocky for your liking today. You both get into your stances but you don't really want to fight so you just awkwardly stand there.

"Are you gonna do anything?" He asks. You shake your head no and he stops for a minute.

"Okay, then I guess I have to then." He hands you the wooden dagger and takes a few steps back. You circle each other for a minute before he lunges at you knocking you down... and out.

"I knew this was going to be easy but-" Jean stops as he looks at your unmoving figure. He kneels down and shakes your shoulder slightly.

"Y/n. Y/n? Yn, are you okay!?" He asks, slightly panicking. You can hear him saying something but black out completely, not remembering a thing.

A few hours later.

You open your blurry eyes and look around. You're in a bed. A comfortable bed. You try to sit up but your head is aching so you let out a small moan. You hear some people whispering but right now you don't really care. All of a sudden a harsh voice cuts through.

"Why don't you brats let her rest instead of giving her and I both more of a headache?" Levi snaps. Everyone flies out and he sits down in a chair by your bed.

"How are you?" He asks painfully dry.

"I don't feel the greatest," You croak out, your throat dry.

"Can you open your eyes?"

"I don't really want too. My head is really sore," You respond. "What happened?"

"You were fighting and some idiot decided to tackle you to the ground. The back of your head hit the ground too hard and now you're here," the raven-haired man explains.

"Where is here?" You ask.

"Infirmary."

"Oh, thanks," You whisper, feeling slightly woozy. You let the the darkness swallow you in again as you fall into a restless sleep.

I haven't updated for a long time bc of a lot of reasons. I'll make a list.
1. I was at a con for a whole weekend.
2. family events going on.
3. halloween and stuff.
4. School and homework.
5. Being sick and not doing anything.
I'm really not proud of this becuase it was rushed but I'm hoping to catch up on all of my stories this weekend so I'll be able to update again... maybe, no promises. There will be more Levi, Erwin, Armin, and probably Jean next chapter if I can fit them all in but yeah, so here's what I came up with but I've had writers block so I hope this isn't really stupid. HAPPY READING!
