Backstory: August lived in Wall Rose. She lived with her brother and mother, for her father was part of the Stationary Guards. Rumors and tales spread around the town like a wildfire, most of them about deaths and titans. Though their father didn't die, an extremely close family friend did, eaten by a titan like many others, leaving them devastated. August became dead scared of titans, but she still wanted to join the Survey Corps
Extra: The dark areas under her eyes are dark circles or eye bags, basically her expression says "I've seen sh*t", and it's also from her fear of titans keeping her up at night and stuff
