The sun sets over the crumbled town. It's been 7 years since the huge earthquake occurred, nothing had been done to repair the damage. Everyone was evacuated from the town ages ago but I never left. I hid for a month and refused to leave. The town is lonely and there isn't much supply for food, but it's okay for one man.

I awoke to the sound of muffled crying. I was startled as I hadn't seen or heard another person in 7 years. My brown hair was messy and had strands sticking up at random places, my shirt barely gave me enough warmth and my pants were ripped at the bottom which covered up the fact that they don't fit. My mind was raked away from its thoughts as the sobs gradually got louder. Every few months the government sends someone to check there are no citizens or tourists there, but I had never heard one crying before. I felt the urge to go and see what's wrong, unfortunately I couldn't. If I did I would be taken away from my home.

I headed to my usual spot where I hide. It was in one of the shattered buildings, hidden in an underground basement. I found it one day when I was searching through the destroyed, abandoned houses, it was hidden quite well but it was quite obvious as it was hidden in a place you would see in a movie, on a bookshelf. I was running my fingertips over the dusty books, when one caught my attention 'Death Note'. I had seen the episodes of it, so I took it off the shelf. Behind it though, was something more interesting. There was a dusty lever with a few cobwebs attached. It clearly hadn't been used for about 8 years, then I let my legs take me down there.
