I went to retrieve the book I placed there again, a sense of de ja vu (A/N idk if that's right but oh well) washing over me. I pulled the lever down and descended down the ladder once more.

I was getting quite hungry, as I hadn't ate a meal today. It had been about 1 hour down here. I headed over to my bag to retrieve some refreshments. I unzipped my backpack, only to realise, I had ran out of food. I pressed the palm of my hand against my forehead and inwardly shouted at myself for not packing more food. I had to go up there, into the broken city, to retrieve something to satisfy my hunger. By doing this, I was putting myself at risk

I sighed, zipped my backpack closed and headed up the ladder. I peeked up over the floor, no sign of whoever I awoke to this morning. Once up, I pulled the lever up and realised I had left 'Death Note' down in the basement. I decided there was no time to get it as I spotted the sun descending. I headed out the remains of the building.

I walked quietly but quickly over to where I store my food. I had collected my food from other houses, tins were the majority of my food. My food was stored in one of the bigger buildings, it had dusty bricks and white paint peeling off the walls, well, the remains of the walls. As I arrived at the building, I heard slow, soft footsteps. They were here.
