The joys of spring cleaning

When I woke up I felt different. It felt like happiness or if you call it something along those lines. It felt weird but a nice weird. I liked it.

I sat up in the bed to find that it looked like nothing happened the previous night. Thinking about what happened I felt a lot of heat flushing to my face. 'What did I do last night. I know that we hugged each other but who does that to somebody you hardly even knew. I mean seriously (Y/N) you need to get a grip!' I mentally yelled to myself. God he'll probably think I'm some kind of weirdo that needs to be looked at by a doctor.

Well while I was ranting off to myself a scent of a nice cooked breakfast was being produced. I walked out of the room regardless of taking the mask of consideration, and walked towards the smell. When I finally got to the source of the smell I saw Edward there cooking. Did Edward always cook?

When Edward had finished chopping up some ingredients he turned to face me.

"Good morning (Y/N)" He smiled kindly at me.

"Good morning" I said back not wanting to be rude.

"Good morning brother, (Y/N)" came a voice from behind.

"Oh good morning Al. Sorry I forgot to see you in the other room. I remembered that we had a extra mouth to feed so I guess I got a bit carried away" Edward kept laughing and scratching the back of his head as if this routine was not most normal thing to do.

"Any way, (Y/N), go take a seat the food's ready.

I went to sit down as ordered by Edward and I closed my eyes. I heard a tiny clunk in front of me and when I reopened my eyes there in front of me was (your favourite breakfast meal(Y/F/B/M)). In my mind it was doing backflips.

I couldn't believe he had made (Y/F/B/M).

I ate quietly. WOW! It was delicious.

After I finished, I thanked Edward for the food and went back in my room to change into my normal, everyday clothes.

Just as I placed the final touches of putting my mask on I heard a knock on the door.

" Come in" I said, my voice a bit muffled by the mask. When the door opened Edward was standing there. "Hello Edward" I said happily, but yet once again my voice was muffled.

"Hey (Y/N), you know you can just call me Ed if you want to." I nodded into consideration. From now on I'll call him Ed. I already started thinking about calling Alphonse, Al as that is what everybody seems to call him.

Apparently, we got a letter from central that we would have the day off. There was no particular reason why...I wonder if it has anything to do with my dad.

There came a knock afterwards. Ed went to open the door. Speak of the devil and they shall appear, there standing was my dad.

"Hey you three, I over heard that you had all the day off. Isn't that great. You know what that means. You get to come and help me do my spring cleaning. Isn't that great". I couldn't tell if he was ordering us for help or just asking for it.

His smile held tight in place on his face. ( I'm a poet and didn't know it lol, JK)

It looked like he would explode any minute. Eventually, we agreed to come along.

(Time skip)

I couldn't believe what I was seeing. The whole bottom floor was covered in what seemed never ending piles of paper.

My eyes couldn't stop twitching from all the mess that was before me.

I went upstairs to my old bedroom from when I used to live here and....yep....with no doubt there was paper filled in here too. Apart from this, the was a certain shelf in my room that hadn't been touched. On that shelf was two pictures one of my mum alone and the other with me as young girl and my mum together. On the other side of the shelf was a knecklace that had a red gem in the middle with black beads going round and next to it was a music box.

Both of these things belonged to my mother but she left them in her will for me. I used to look at the knecklace afraid to touch it and I always listened to the music of the music box.

When I left the house I asked my dad if he could look after them for me. Apparently, he has kept his promise.

When I was about to close my door, Ed was stood right behind me. His eyes were looking in my old room but only on one particular object.

"(Y/N), what's on that shelf." I looked towards the shelf that I had been looking at previously. I then looked at what object and to my surprise, it was the knecklace.

"Oh the knecklace, it was passed down by each eldest daughter in my family for apparently, forever." I told him. I remembered the story my mum told me. "It's also been said that if the daughter doesn't have any daughters when they come to have there own children then they get buried with it when they die"

I remember it very well. And of course, so far each daughter has had a girl.

Well when all is said and done, I closed the door and Ed and myself went down stairs to be met once more with unforgettable piles of paper.

"You see I was planning on burning it all and meet with all the consequences later." My dad was pulling on his white glove about to click his fingers when I froze him. You heard right, I froze him. Have you ever heard of those stories of when the guy or the women freeze in place when they think the love of their life walks past them. Well love causes that. Don't ever forget it.

"Don't be so rash, when coming to conclusions you might regret later, dad" I said this quite annoyed, while giving him death glares beneath my mask. I guess he could sense them as he tried to move away. Let me rephrase that. He couldn't get away.

"Well let's begin shall we?" I looked towards Ed and Al. The two didn't say anything they just kept quiet and started to get to work quickly. Just the way I liked it. I picked up the first document and began to read it.

(Time skip)

By the time we finished we all ended up reading 8,628 of either documents or just written work each. Between me ,Ed and Al we had made two piles one that had to be kept and the other which my dad could burn to his hearts desire. I looked towards my dad again he had been frozen and left alone, as we did upstairs also, for about 8 hours. I kinda feel sorry for him. Kinda. I gave him one more death glare before I unfroze him. Due to his aching muscles, he fell to the ground.

"This pile is what you can burn" pointing towards one pile. "And this is what you readread." I pointed towards the other pile. He nodded slowly, probably afraid his head might snapp off. Probably.

By the time everything that needed to be burnt was burnt, Ed, Al and myself decided to go back to the hotel for another night.

When we were outside, it was already dark enough. I couldn't see a thing. The only thing you could do was hear. This could be a bad thing, yet it could be a good. In my case it was bad. I felt a pair of muscular arms strech out wide and grab my unprepared body and started to drag me away.

"ED!" I yelled at the top of my lungs afraid that if I didn't speak loud enough he would never of heard me. I lost consciousness when I felt a large hit embrace my head.

I've made a lot of enimies over the past few years. I wonder who will be seeking for revenge this time.
