MackAttack- you'll be alright. Its okay.
Dalton looks up from his phone to find the group staring at him. The room was quiet. His vision is beginning to blur at the edges and his chest feels tight to the point that he's struggling to get a deep breath in. Mackenzie isn't coming and right when he was in major trouble.
"Dalton, are you alright?"
"I'm fine"
Dalton hadn't even realized that he had said anything at first. He pinches his arm in an attempt to get himself together, but he just feels tingly and numb to the touch. Everything looks and feels unreal and he tries to tell himself that this feeling will pass and its only temporary, but it just makes him worse.
"I think he's having a panic attack"
"he's hyperventilating"
"he isn't paying attention to us"
The voices seem so far away and all he cares about is getting a grip on his own reality. Dalton hadn't even realized that he was crying and hyperventilating until he heard the noises coming out of his own body. The door opens and he turns to find Mackenzie.
"Hey, hey" Mackenzie takes his hand and squeezes it. "We gotta breathe"
"I can't" Dalton gasps.
"Breathe in" Mackenzie takes a deep breath and holds it as Dalton does the same. "Now breathe out"
Mackenzie does it a few times with him until his breathing is near normal and then pulls out the bottle from his pocket, he holds one of the pills out to him. Dalton takes it, but still grips onto mac's hand. It didn't take long for dalton to come down from the high and all thats left over is the fact that hes shaking.
"Are you good?" Mackenzie asks quietly.
"yeah" Dalton whispers quietly. "I'm sorry I forgot my ativan"
"It's okay." Mackenzie grins. "Lets get you something to eat and then we'll go back to the hotel so you can sleep"
"Okay" Dalton frowns, still feeling bad.
Mackenzie took good care of Dalton and helped him recover from his panic attack. All Mackenzie could think about is how he loved the boy more and more everyday, even in the blondes darkest moments.
