***Stephanie's POV***
Rehearsals were from fifth period to the end of sixth period and the talent show started thirty minutes after school ended. This is gonna be busy. The bell for fifth period finally rang and everyone doing the talent show bolted out the door.

It was my turn to rehearse my part. I sang Wings by Little Mix and so far everything was perfect. This is it, the high note...I cracked. My throat all of a sudden was dry and I couldn't sing the high note. This is so embarrassing! I ran outside and Marcel trailed behind me. "Steph-"
"Leave me alone! There's nothing you can do to reverse that."
"I know but rehearsals are made for mistakes. That's why you have to keep practicing. It's only one little crack. Most people can even hit that high note like you. Your voice is perfect just like you." Marcel brushed a strand of my hair out of my face and behind my ear.
"You really think so?"
"Of course I do. I love you and I would never lie to you."
"I love you too." He took me in for a hug and I calmed down.

***Marcel's POV***
The talent show is starting and the lights dim down. The first act is a ventriloquist...a very bad ventriloquist. The second act is an all male acappella group, not bad but they don't sound that great. The chorus sounded very unrehearsed. Many talents go by and Stephanie is next. The judges, the music teacher, principal, and vice principal looked very surprised as Stephanie hit the high note perfectly. At the end of her performance the crowd went wild. Clapping echoed through the walls of the school auditorium. Stephanie smiled big and ran down the steps of the stage and jumped into a hug.
"What did I tell you Steph?"
"Thank you Marcel. I couldn't have done it without you."
"I would kiss you but the principal is watching us."
