A further 6 years later...
"You're only 12 Ashley, you're not coming! Gabriel and Lucifer will be with you, Cas will drop in to check up, alright. We'll be back in a couple of days, back in time for your Parent's conference ok. I promise we'll go to this one"
"Screw the conference! Screw school! Take me with you, I want to learn the family business. Pleeeaassee!" Ashley begs me, trying to use Sam's puppy eyes that she learnt. If I'm honest she mastered it pretty good.
"Ash, no. Look... when we come back, if the place hasn't been trashed and you get a good report from your teachers at the conference... I will think about starting some training exercises... do we have a deal?" I try to compromise
"... A good report from my teachers... I can't change that within a few days!" I raise an eyebrow in question. "Ugh this isn't fair!" she stomps away, just then Lucifer appears, his small smile turning into a frown as he sees Ashley stomp his way.
"Hey kiddo?! What's happened?" he sounds concerned.
"They're not letting me go on the hunt with them! And if I want to start training I need a good report from hell!" she states angrily going straight past Lucifer. I sigh and shake my head, pulling my hand down my face. Lucifer gives me a look of amusement, silently chuckling to himself.
"Needs a good report from hell, huh? I'm sure I can arrange something" he smirks. Just then the Winchester's enter the Library with duffel bags packed and asking if I'm ready. I look at Lucifer.
"We'll be fine, she'll calm down in a bit. Enjoy the hunt" He grins
"Thanks Luce." I say sighing slightly, before leaving the bunker I shout down to Ash's room. "See you in a few days kiddo!"
Lucifer P.O.V
It's been a few days, since Y/N and the Winchester's left for their hunt. Castiel hasn't shown up at all, yet and neither of them have contacted, usually Y/N contacts, letting me know how things are going or asking about something, even to check up on everything, usually Ash. Even though that girl has Castiel come in and make sure the bunker is still standing, she prefers to phone up, double checking. She worries about Ashley, we all do a little, but Y/n... she worries the most. Is she bringing her up right? Would her sister be proud? She's not being too tough on her? The amount of questions that worry her. It's slightly adorable...
I'm sitting at the table with my feet propped up whilst reading some book, when Ash comes in. She's been staying in her room most of the time. Hardly coming out. Goes to school, comes home with Gabriel and then stays in her room, it's hard to coax her out for something to eat at dinner. She sits across the table from me, she fiddles with her hands on the table looking down. I play along as if I'm too engrossed in my book, but my eyes are watching her, waiting for her to speak.
It's funny, she's picked up a lot of traits from us, and it's clear who has a bigger influence on her when in certain circumstances or situations. Like when she gets nervous, she fidgets and looks down, it's as if she is having an internal conversation, she gets that from Y/N, she also has the habit of when she wants to talk about something, she'll just sit there, nothing is said, but she's thinking about how to start and how to go about the situation. If you just carry on with what you're doing but don't leave the room, they'll speak when their ready, just give them a few moments to collect their thoughts. If you rush them into talking, asking them what's up, and question them, they close up, and become tense. They then won't talk about the issue, they'll beat around it and leave it.
She starts to fidget in her chair, slumping and then sitting straight again, as if she's trying to get comfortable. I chance a glance up at her, raising an eyebrow in question as her fidgeting doesn't start to relax. She catches my eye and stops moving about, making a quick adjustment before leaning forward onto the table.
