I plopped down at the table where my best friend, Katie Wagner, was sitting. She might not be a very good friend, but she was my only friend. She stared at me with her bright blue eyes in excitment. "So, I heard you got locked in the caf with the Dollar Coin." She smiled a bright, teethy smile. I poked my food nervously. I knew where this was going; either I said no and she wouldn't believe me, or I said yes and she would never leave me alone and keep telling me that Maxson and I were perfect for each other.

"I...was...but it was a prank by his friends, so there's nothing to be worried about!" I said hastily. She leaned back and started picking at her food. "I don't believe you Oh, look! There he is! Let's go ask him to sit with us." I looked up to see her staring at Maxson. I couldn't believe her sometimes. "He won't, you know that, right?." I said with as little emotion as I could muster. Katie's head snapped back to me and she smiled a mischevious smile at me. "Wanna bet?" she said. I shrugged and continued to eat my food. She stood up and walked over to Maxson. I ignored her and continued to eat. I knew she'd come back and tell me I was right, she always did. And she did come back, but not with a sad puppy dog face, but a smirk. I looked at her, puzzled.

"Hey, Adie." I sat frozen as Maxson sat down next to Katie. He smiled at me and waved. I covered my face and glared at Katie. She smiled and waved at me with that smug smirk and I huffed. "What's with you? Still cold from last night? I could give you my shirt again." Maxson started to take his shirt off. I quickly got up, walked to the other side of the table, and pulled his shirt down. He laughed and I blushed, sitting back down slowly.

We sat there for the rest of lunch with Katie talking the entire time. She talked about her cat mostly, but the whole time, Maxson never took his eyes off me. It was unnerving! I wanted to crawl into a hole and cry. When lunch finally ended, he got up and started walking towards his friends. "See you later, Adie." I stuck my tongue out at him and threw my untouched food into the gargabe can.

School was finally out! This was the moment I waited for all day, every day. I jolted up and ran out the door and into the parking lot. My little pick-up truck sat there, waiting for me to drive it, and I did. I wanted to feel the road under it's sweet tires. Even though it was only a cover-up for my real car, this was my favorite. I jumped into the driver's seat and drove away from the school.

It took me awhile to get to the city. All the traffic made me stop at least twenty times. It was so annoying, but I loved going to the city, especially at night. All the lights made the town sparkle and it was gorgeous. Even during the day, this city was beautiful.

I rolled up to the modeling agencies doors. I knew I was late, but my boss would understand. I was his best model, despite me being so young. I had been modeling for awhile. We actually had to move towns because fans would visit my school to see me. My boss demanded I move and create a personna for myself, so I chose a quiet girl. I'm actually really loud and rude, sometimes I let that out when I'm around Katie.

I walked through the doors and into my boss's room. He was a litte, short, bald man that was usually cranky. This morning was no exception. "No! I won't do anything on that side of town, my client could get-oh, hi sweetheart, hold on a moment-what? Yes I'm still here! Alright, here's my final answer, get me the photoshoot here and I'll pay for everything, got it? Good. No! That does not include gas, it's not that far! Uh-huh...Good, be here in 15 miniutes." He hung up and smiled up at me.

"Adeline! How's my favorite model?" I took off my glasses and sat down. "You say that to all of your models." I said, smirking at his little desk toy. It's head bobbed up and down as he moved. "Sure, but I mean it with you." He winked and I laughed. "So, if you didn't hear, you have a photoshoot in a few moments, so go to the makeup and dressing rooms." He picked up the phone again and started punching in numbers, which is his way of telling you to leave. I walked out and into the dressing room. All of the models that were inside looked over at me.

"Adeline! How come you were late? It's not like you." Maria said. Maria was one of those tall and beautiful models, and she was from Spain, so her accent made her even more popular. I smiled at her and went to the mirror to put my contacts in. Leslie, a model with short blonde hair and dark green eyes, walked up to me and put her arms around my waist, lifting me up. "How's my favorite teddy bear?" she asked. She always talked to me like I was a little toddler. "I'm fine, but I can't see, so can you put me down?" I asked. She reluctantly put me down and walked back to the outfit she was wearing.

After I put my contacts in, I walked to the outfit I was wearing. Today's photoshoot was casual, so the seamstress put out a red, white, and black striped sweater with tan jeggings. She also put out light brown boots and a small bracelet. This was my good luck braclet, and whenever I could wear it, the seamstresses would put it out for me. I smiled and put on my outfit.

Next was makeup. The other models and I sat in our seats. The makeup artists came in and pulled our hair back out of our faces. I closed my eyes as they put makeup on my face. This was like a spa treatment to me. It was nice, and you looked beautiful afterwards. They then pulled the hair out and parted mine in the middle, curling it slightly.

We walked out into the photoshoot room and walked to the background. It was fun to pose, almost like going to the mall and messing around. We did a couple serious pictures, and then went outside to the park and did some fun pictures. Leslie picked me up and Maria started laughing as I screamed in terror for her to put me down. We even got the camera crew laughing. When we got back to the agency, we changed back into our clothes and walked out of the building. I waved goodbye to the both of them as the papparazzi swarmed around them. I stood in silence for awhile.

"So, it was you at the park." I froze and turned my head to see a boy with brown hair and blonde highlights leaning on my truck. His deep, brown eyes were staring into mine. Maxson.
