<Cameron's POV>

"Whoa Azura, let go!" I called out, with a hint of a growl,as I scrambled behind her. It was embarrassing as hell, not to mention the height difference had me off balance.

She sighed and let go, then turned and growled at me. "Now back to our earlier conversation. How does she know where I live?" She asked in a deceptively calm voice.

For a moment i just looked at her. Is she seriously doing this right now. Women, I swear, are a pain in the ass at times. I opened my mouth to speak then closed it again, no doubt looking like a fish out of water. I honestly didn't  have an answer. I already told her i didn't know, What else was she looking for? I didn't tell Courtney where Azura stayed, hell I don't think anybody did. All she would have caught from our conversation, was that we were going to Azura's new home and she declined to come along.

"Azura.."I began when a thought occurred to me. "Why would it matter? Would you have turned her away had come with us?" I asked instead, getting a little irked.

'You shouldn't have said that. Wrong moved Cameron.' My wolf said lazily with a slight curve to his lips.

'Shut the hell up!' I snapped at him. He merely shook his head and laughed as he laid his head on his paws and watched. Growling caught my attention, bringing me back to the conversation at hand.

"What did you just say?" Azura said in that same calm voice.

I tried to open our shared link to get a sense of  why she was getting so worked up. The block she had erected seemed impenetrable.  Her tone of voice didn't faze me, but the reason for her being upset was seriously lost on me.

"I said, would you have turned her away had she come with us to your home?" I asked her again.

Honestly, I don't see why she's so mad. Courtney hadn't done anything to warrant such hostility. Since the mall incident, Courtney hadn't seen her again because she was in pack territory until recently and I said as much. I watched as she tried to reign in her anger. She sighed and smiled, but it didn't reach her eyes.

'Idiot.' My wolf chuckled. I ignored him.

"You're right, my apologies. To answer your question, no I wouldn't have turned her away. She's your friend and she's pack." She said in that same deceptively calm voice.

I sighed and reached over and pulled her into my arms. "It's OK love. Everyone is a bit on edge after what's happened. Let's enjoy ourselves and have a little fun." I said soothingly.

She stepped out of my arms and continued talking as if I hadn't said anything. "But the fact still remain; she was at my house uninvited. Apparently  no one told where you were going or where I stayed. I sure as hell didn't tell her, but she magically appeared at my damn doorstep. So how the hell does she know where I fucking stay?" She asked with a growl ,borderline snarl.

I couldn't say anything because she had a point. "Maybe Derek told her, i don't know. Is it that big a deal? Let's just enjoy our day together and have fun. C'mon baby girl." I said in a soft crooning voice and reached for her again. I was as curious as she was about how Courtney found her way to Azura's house. But at the moment he was more concerned with calming his mate.

I could tell she was still peeved, but she let it go. After a moment, she looked at me as though she were about to say something then thought better of it. She turned icy blue-grey eyes on me and gave me a look before walking off. I rolled my eyes and chased after her and grabbed her around the waist. I grinned at her yelp of surprise.

"Cameron, let me go!" She cried and tried to hit me but i easily dodged the blow.

Ignoring her cries, I scooped her up in my arms and held her close despite her struggles. People walking by gave us weird looks and I smiled as I carried her to the nearest booth. It was a ring-toss game booth. I sat her down on her feet and she turned and punched me in the arm, it wasn't soft either.

"You ass." She said with a growl.

"Oh shut up. You know you liked it." I chuckled  as I rubbed my arm. She glared at me, but it didn't hold much heat. "Fine, let's just enjoy the festival." I said with a small smile.

I bought a few rounds and we played. Although Azura was reluctant to play, I could tell she was having fun. I had paid for five games,we hadn't won anything. So by the fifth game I was determined to win. Azura was still mad at me,but not as mad. After a few tries, I managed win her a teddy bear. She still tried to stay mad at me and didn't want the bear.

I brought it up to my face and, using a false voice, spoke to her. "Aw, don't you want me? I'm soft, cuddly, and your mate worked so hard to get me just for you." She eyed me with a raised brow and folded her arms across her chest.

"I give the best-est kisses." I said and moved the bear to make it seem like it was kissing her, but I kissed on her cheek instead. The corner of her mouth almost lifted in a half smile.

"See? I also give the best-est hugs too." Both me and the bear gave her a big warm hug. She smiled then looked away. I noticed that people were watching us with smiles on their faces.

"Please...um...what was her name again?" I said in that false voice and turned the bear to face me as if it had really asked me the question. Smiling I acted as i  were whispering in Its ear.

"That's a pretty name." The bear said and I nodded, turning it back to Azura.By this time she was smiling and several 'awes' could be heard as well as a little laughter. I didn't mind, I was with my mate and if falsifying my voice and talking through a teddy bear  would get her to smile, then that's what I'd do to make her smile.

"Please Azura? Please take me and not be upset anymore." The teddy bear pleaded. She looked at me out of the corner of her eye, a smile clear on her face but she still didn't take the bait. So I asked the gathered crowd for help.

"Do you guys think she should take me home?" The bear asked them and she turned back to me, a blush colored  her cheeks.

"Yeah!"

"Take it home!"

"Take the man too!"

"Hell, if she wont I will!" Came the crowd's replies, embarrassment was evident as her blush deepened.

"Cameron!" She hissed. I laughed and Ignored her.

"See Azura, even they think you should take me home. Can I go with you pleeeeeeeeeeee...?" I said holding the "e"  until my breath ran out. But then I just took a deep breath and continued.

"Cameron! Cameron stop!" She hissed trying to shut me up. I ignored her and  continued.

"Oh alright! I'll take you with me!" She finally said heaving a grand sigh.

"Yay! I'm going home!" The bear cried out happily as I raised it in the air.

"Yay!" The crowd cried in response. They laughed and clapped before finally dispersing. I handed the bear to her  with a Cheshire cat's smile.

"You're an ass."  Azura said  laughing as she accepted the gift.

"And you're a stubborn ass. I guess we're just a couple of asses." I replied with a smile. I heard laughter close by and turned to see Lex, one of her guards, laughing at them and shaking his head. When he looked up and found me watching him, he quickly cleared his throat and looked away.

I laughed softly and she hit me in the stomach. "Stop it Cameron." She whispered. "Its OK Lex, you can relax."  She said softly to him. I watched as he visibly relaxed, a warm smile coming to his face.]

Grabbing her hand,I lead her down aisles and looked at the other booths, games, and prizes. The different foods were tantalizing, the music was pretty good and everyone seemed to be genuinely enjoying themselves. We hit up a few more booths and won some more prizes and had a bite to eat that included some of everything that was offered. I can honestly say that Azura had a healthy appetite, she ate about as much as I did. By the end of the day,Azura and I had had a blast and had learned a thing or two about one another that we didn't know before. I was glad she'd decided to stay.

She and I called everyone up and told them to it was time to go and to meet up by the cars. When everyone had regrouped, the tension was gone and the camaraderie was back. I was happy to see Molly and Jerome had enjoyed themselves. Everyone was talking at once, even after everyone was in their perspective vehicles, the conversations still continued.

By the time we had made it to Azura's house, darkness had fallen.
