Chapter 20: Don't Say Goodbye...

It felt amazing once again so I slept in. I loved that Damon still had his arms around me still.

Somehow I was facing him, and my head was resting on his chest.

Today was the day we would have to head back home. I wanted to go back home, but at the same time I didn't want to.

I loved being here and knowing that Jacob and Edward and everyone I cared for was under one roof. One big roof.

I still had my wedding ring on, it hurt my finger while I was sleeping, because it was on all night. Plus my sun protection ring.

Today was the day we would have to drive back home. And then all of this would officially be over. Over. Over was the key word.

It seemed like that was so far away. Like having this all to be over would take at least a million steps. I tried to get up but Damon grabbed my hand and pulled me into him. I snorted.

"Good morning, sunshine." I smiled as I rolled my eyes.

"What you thinking about?" He asked me. I took a breath in and rolled over to face him.

"It's just that, soon this will all be over," I put my right hand on his face. "And we'll be alone." He winked and gave me a sexy devilish grin.

Man that smile was sexy. Damon never made that face. He leaned forward and kissed me slowly. At that second, Jacob opened the door and shouted,

"Good morning!" Damon sat up and threw a pillow at him. Jacob punched it so it wouldn't land on him. I looked at what I was wearing. A tank top and sweats. I got up and hugged him.

"Thanks for helping Bells, and congrats on the engagement." He sounded cheerful. Damon got up and vamp speeded to our bag and put a simple black shirt on.

"Your welcome." Then he left.

*4 Hours Later*

The morning went by quick. Everyone was all packed and ready to go home. Except for me.

Emotionally I didn't want to go back, I should've went to see Charlie. But that was okay.

Edward and Jacob were getting ready to tell us goodbye when I said,

"You guys should go to Mystic Falls." Jacob looked down and smiled.

"Well I'll go. You know I love exploring new places. Edward will you go?" Jacob looked at Edward, why wouldn't Edward go? I mean he needed a new life. We all needed to start over, I mean this was our new beginnings.

"Well I'll go. I'll have to follow you guys in my Volvo, I'll let Jacob ride with me. Okay?" Jacob nodded.

Then Elena shouted from the doorway, "Are you guys coming?!" We shouted yes and went home to Mystic Falls.
