Kenzie notices what I'm double-checking as we wait for our parentals to stop talking and get moving. "Anything?"
I shake my head at my phone. "No."
Last night flashes by. Yeah. There's no way Kenzie will go to H.J.M. Who'd turn down Arbourton? Arbourton turns you down.
"I'll get into Arbourton," I tell her. "Don't worry."
Arbour...what? Are we tired? On a high? Because you don't mean it. You were just thinking about H.J.M. shadowing during the sermon.
"Stephen..."
What? ...Why is Kenzie looking at me funny?

Last night? About how you love her because you're scared to lose her because of losing contact with Peter and Jack? That's why, right?
