Expect The Unexpected

I wasn't able to concentrate while I was finalizing the meeting's notes. His presence distracted me, his voice, his gestures. While I was losing my head, I took a break. Visited the pantry and brewed coffee. As I reach for the sugar and cream, I saw him enter. Usually when there's other people with me in the pantry, I'm calm and normal. Why is it when Agnus entered the pantry, I started to feel nervous?

As I was mixing my creamy sugared coffee, he stood next to me. Tall and formal. He was in his corporal attire. I flinched when he talked.

"Surprise seeing you here. Having coffee again?", as he talked to me like a good friend.

"Y...yeah. I work here", as I face palmed in my mind. Of course he knew that. Calm down ME. You're embarassing yourself.

"I'm Agnus by the way, since we met twice already."

"I'm Scarlet. Thank you again for saving me last night."

"No biggie. That lady looked like she was gonna hit you anyway. I was relieved she understood it quickly."

"Sorry. I'm not usually like this."

"No need to apologize Miss Scarlet. Helping out people makes me feel I did something good in life"

"Why? Did you do something bad?". Wait. What did I just say? OMG. Please don't hate me!

"I probably did. But let's stop it from there", as he smiled back, showing a face that he'll hate the person who asks about it.

"I probably gotta go back to Mr. Beet. I hope to work with you soon, Scarlet", as he exit the room with that smile again.
