Chapter 2 { Bloody Rose }

The next morning when I woke up, I could bearly remember what happened yesterday. Kira was sitting at the right side of my hospital bed asleep. I gave her a tight hug and she jumped up with surprise.

"I'm glad you're awake, don't scare me like that," she said in a joyful but worried tone. "Happy that I didn't die? " I questioned. "Yes, if you're gone then my life is over! " she replied. Kira and I don't have a family, even though I never met my real parents.

Both our phone's went off and we both answered our phone's. "Yes," we both replied. "Meet me in the Moon Demon Army vampire torture zone at 3pm . Don't be late! " our phone's eco across the room. "Who was that? " me and Kira questioned ourselves.

My apartment was across the hospital so me and Kira walked around my neighbourhood, until her watch showed 2pm. Kira and I entered my apartment and got everything we needed. I stuffed everything in a cotton and colourful bag. I took the bag's colourful strap and threw it across my shoulder.

We got to the Moon Demon Army HQ, and asked a soldier to show us to the vampire torture zone. He showed us the way on a map in his hands and we followed his directions.

As Kira and I walk towards the vampire zone, there was a man standing across a circle. The torture zone had two poles sticking out the ground with chains. The wall's formed a large circle over the ground with no roof over. The man had ruby purple eyes with black hair and a little shade of purple over. His uniform looked like ours only with pants and he had red stripes at the side. He had special features over his coat area. I noticed a sun on his chest.

I remember his face, he is Luteinet Curnel Guren Ichinose. "Because you have the strongest team I expect you to do more missions." I nodded my head at his statement.

"Well, you're team has to go on a night patrol at Durango even though you had already defeated a few vampire's there. I want you and you're team there for the rest of the month," he said in a tough tone. "Yes, Luteinet Curnel Guren. My team will continue doing missions for you and The Moon Demon Company," I said in a mature and confident tone. "I'm glad, now get to it," he said

It was turning night and me and my team is getting ready to go to Durango. The gate opened and my team was riding out. The Jeep was the same one I fixed here and there.

There was a very quite pause when the Jeep reached it's destination. I ordered my team to split up and cover more ground.

When I was still a child I loved to look at the star's every night and still to this day. I stared at the beautiful star's and noticed the crescent moon shining onto my hazel brown eyes. A cold breeze hit into my face and body, it gave me chills.

I got my colourful bag and got out my black hoodie jacket. I whore it and made the hood hang over my eyes, showing only my mouth and nose.

I walked down the street admiring the star's. The star's were like pearls under the deepest darkest ocean. There was the milky way and a shooting star.

There were so many star's I couldn't believe it. A figure was standing on top of a building with red eyes looking straight at me, but disappeard when I tried to take a better look. That made me suspicious and I got out my scythe.

The night was long and I was tired. I started humming a tune my fake mother sang to me every night. In the distance a familiar vampire stared at me and listened to my peaceful humming. He was hiding in a pitch black building.

I heard a sound coming from a nearby bush and I jumped into a nearby tree getting out my scythe. A milky white cat walked out. He got surprised expression on his face of my quick reaction. I jumped down and the cat walked towards me. I bent down to my knees and stroked the cat. The cat was so fluffy. I couldn't help loose concentration. The cat walked more towards me and jumped on to my lap and I fell onto my butt. I started giving him all my love and cuddled and kissed the cat.

A certain vampire was jealous. He had a very annoyed expression. A other vampire was standing behind me and grabbed me by my neck. I wad screaming for help when a familiar face had pierced his sword into the other vampire.

"Don't you dare touch her! " he said in a furious tone. The other vampire turned to dust with me in a confused state. "Are you hurt, did he hurt you!?" he questioned in a worried face. "No, but why did you save me? " I questioned in a soft voice and then he used his vampire speed and disappeared back to a abandoned building.

I had no idea what happened and ran in the direction Kira walked. "Kira, Kira, Kira! " I shouted constantly. The familiar vampire wondered why I was in tears and asking a other human for help and it made him upset. He had a sad expression.

I bumped into Kira and told her the whole story with tears in my eyes and tears rolling down my cheeks. The vampire didn't like me in tears and wanted to comfort me but couldn't, Kira comforted me and whipped away my tears, saying things to comfort me and she told me "Stay by me and everything will be fine and I'm always here for you," it made me feel so much better but not for the vampire.

The sun was rising, revealing the old broken city with it's orange and red light over the city. I felt so happy the night was finally at an end but two more weeks to go.

Me and my team gathered at a café called Marijuana. The café had vyf chairs and one table outside.

Kira and the rest made themselves comfy, while I bring the Jeep to the café. We only had a few energy bars and water. The energy bars wasn't the normal stuff, it can give strength through one week.

They all took one except for me cause there was none left. "Angelique, you and I can share this one," Kira insisted. "No, I already have food supplies for one week," I lied. I didn't want to burden them with my problem. "Ok," Kira answered.

My team members we're going about how vampires should die and all that stuff but I ignored that subject. We continued by making jokes and laughing at each other with each other.

In the distance a vampire staring and watching.
