Anthony and I tried working things out. We really did. It worked for a while until a certain day. The day I blew it. It wasn't my fault that I made that choice. I just wasn't ready to be with him after he hurt me. He asked me out of nowhere. "Gio, we've been talking for a while. I've liked you for a while now. Honestly, I've liked you since Pia's quinceañera. But I had Kaliyah at the time. When we became distant because I was with her, I felt like the other half of me left. I felt empty. Nothing to hold me together. That's why I ended it. I realized she wasn't the one for me. And it was you all along. Will you be mine?"
"Oh, Anthony. Look, I like you a lot but you hurt me. I'm honestly not prepared to get hurt again. You sa-"
"Don't. I understand."
Then he left. He left me. Again. I still wanted to talk to him and get over it with time, but he didn't.
So he left.
