Tumawa ako when they pushed the food towards me.
"Nah, I'm fine, Char," I said with a small smile. Pero ang totoo di ako mapakali. My thoughts are in shambles and so is my heart.
Char here is my bestfriend ever since high school. She's the one I always come to when I have problems, and vice versa. We're always there to help each other.
Like this moment of need.
"Bessie, hindi pwedeng hindi ka kumain. You don't drink so kain ka lang," sabi niya while rubbing my back, "hindi kaya always nanglilibre si baby ko."
"Wahh, I'm so sorry to interrupt you during your date, Carter," I apologized which made him, Char's boyfriend, chuckle lightly.
"It's fine, Mir. Bestfriend ka ni baby, and since boyfriend niya ako, it's also part of my job na to help Charisse take care of you," sabi niya. Waahhh ang bait-bait ni Carter! My bessie is so lucky!
"You're really my favorite OTP. Charter for the win!" I laughed tapos kumuha ng isang fried chicken. Syempre, ang sarap kaya ng chicken XD
"There's that smile!" the couple laughed.
"Buti naman at nakakangiti ka na, bessie," Char joked.
"Grabe naman 'to. Kumakain na nga ako oh. Bam! Move on," I said.
Although I feel a bit better now, paano na lang kaya mamaya pag-uwi ko sa bahay? What will I say to Ate Jan? O kaya si Mommy? She'll definitely hear of this so walang palusot.
... and what about that bastard who played me for my sister?
"Bessie, kain ka pa!" Char pushed more food towards me, "Careful lang baka tumaba ka ah?"
"Paano ako di tataba kung order ka nang order diyan?"
"Ah, kakain naman din kami eh! Basta pakabusog ka!"
I sighed. I'll worry about my problems later. I'll just eat the pain away for now.
