Eventually, my body couldn't keep up

With functioning

Because of lack of nutrition.

It happened when I was home alone.

Sharp pains in my abdomen,

Spinning thoughts,

Blurred vision.

I knew that it was coming,

Yet I didn't care.

Maybe it was right for me to die.

Black slowly clouded my vision.

My body relaxed.

Just as I was taken

Completely into the darkness,

My doorbell rang.

But I wasn't alive to answer it.

I'm sorry, boy from the gym.

I knew you loved me,

But I was too absorbed in loving someone else

To give you attention.

You would've been so good to me,

Yet I stuck to my toxic relationship.

I'm sorry.
