Thinking cutting was the only was to relieve my pain. I soon decided it was time to take a different turn. I started writing poems. People who read them were really touched. My English teacher said I write like Robert Frost and Maya Angelou. I use metaphors to get my point across and it keeps you reading.
I started writing poems about my life buhh not using myself. I used objects like flowers and stuff like that. I write about what other people might go through. I have a creative mind and I like to use to get peoples voices heard.
At school I joined a club called forensics it's about writing. I decided to write my poem about black women's beauty. And how we should not be taken advantage of and were worth more then what society says we should be.
So I started writing it and my coach liked it but it was to short. So I started a second part on how society tells us women how we should look and act to get a man. But that in reality that's not the case.
I began a third part on how black women are worth being loved. And how we should be treated with respect. It's a lot we can get from society but it's not always the right thing.
Look back later on tonight to see what that poem is about. Thanks for reading.
