Layla and her friends went back to Christina's bakery, so they could talk. The door was locked, so the girl that was at the cash register a little bit ago came to unlock it.
"Thanks!" Layla said.
"Yup." the girl grumbled. The girls headed to the back and sat on two couches that was small, but very colorful.
"Thanks for coming. I was starting to think you weren't." Christina exclaimed. She sat on a big bright blue chair right in front of the room.
"So, what did you come to talk about? Oh wait we haven't even introduced ourselves! I'm Christina, and this is Ally, Marie, Sarah, Fetima, Alana, Aleisea, Katie, Kera, and Danielle." Christina said.
"Great! I'm Layla, and this is Molly, Trinity, Nadia, Casie, and Akeara. We were coming to see your new, store, and how you're doing with it. How exactly are you doing with it?" Layla asked politely.
"Great! Thanks!" Christina answered.
"So, why, did you open up a bakery?" Layla asked.
"I thought it would be fun, I mean I am a great baker!" Christina replied.
"Yeah right! We know you are just trying to steal away all Layla's costumers so you can have more money and finally be the best bakery in town!!!!!" Molly blurted out, then quickly realized what she'd said, covered her mouth back up and took a step back.
"What! Are you, accusing me of something that horrible????" Christina asked as innocently as she could.
"What! No, we were just-"
"Yes!" Molly yelled again accidentally.
"Well!" Christina exclaimed. Her friends huddled up real quick, and they were whispering. They finally all nodded there heads and all faced Layla.
"So....as everyone knows, you can't have 2 bakeries in the same town without stealing each other's costumers, and getting into arguments. So......we will have a contest. We will make 3 cupcakes each with different designs and flavors, and we will each choose 2 of our best costumers to be the judges. Whoever loses the battle, gives up their bakery, and moves to another town." Christina exclaimed.
"What, no!!!! No way am I doing anything that could risk my bakery!!" Layla protested.
"You have to!" Christina said.
"Or else what?" Layla asked.
"Or else.....my bakery will slowing start taking all your costumers away!" Christina replied.
Layla frowned, and huddled with everyone. When they talked, they said no. But when Layla faced Christina, and thought about it some more, she told Christina......
"Yes, we will. I agree to your competition."
"Great! Also, I'm inviting the whole town to come watch it! I already made flyers! I'll call it, The Cupcake Wars!" Christina said.

That night, Layla was up all night thinking about what she had agreed to do.
