"Alexandra McKell, please report to the principal's office," A nasal voice spoke over the Public Address System. PAS. We students joke about it standing for Prissy Annoying Senna. Senna is the woman that always spoke over the PAS. She is just plain annoying and prissy with her nasal voice, tight neat bun, hawk-like grey eyes and boring muddy brown office suits that she wears every stinking day.
Where was I? Oh, yes. I was in stinking school, doing stinking English, with my stinking 'class buddy' gazing at my face while I worked. And who is my 'class buddy'? Mr. I'm-so-damn-hot-I-have-girls-falling-for-me-but-I-don't-know-it. In other words, Jake Anderson. Apparently, Mrs. Ron thought that since I was the only one not affected by his 'looks', I should show him around. Same with my other teachers. Maybe I should have pretended to giggle and blush when he accidentally glanced my way... Of course, then I couldn't have enjoyed the glares shot to me by the other girls, especially Cecilia...
"Um...Alex?" Jake whispered to me quietly.
"What?" I snapped back irritably.
"You're supposed to head to the principal's office."
I sighed and got up, realizing that the whole class was staring at me expectantly. I rolled my eyes and strode out, ignoring Mrs. Ron's stern look.
"What's up, John?" I called as I walked into the principal's office. He was waiting for me.
"Take a seat, Ms. McKell," He began formally. I raised an eyebrow and remained standing. Ms. McKell? He never got all formal and business-like unless it was something new. He sighed, seeing my refusal to follow his words and continued.
"Now, a certain someone has reported that you were troubled by a customer in Starbucks, where you work. Am I correct?" John asked. I wasn't fazed. It was probably some git seeing me clenching my jaw at a particularly nasty customer.
"Lalala. Let's just get on with it," I replied off-handedly. John squinted his eyes at me. Okay, this was new. Usually, he'd just let me off.
"Look, Alex. This 'certain someone' is quite trustworthy. So-"
"Trustworthy? Who the hell is this dude?"
"Language, Alex. And I have been requested not to reveal-"
"Oh, yeah? Well I request you TO reveal it!"
I stared him down. After a moment, he gave in.
"It's Jake Anderson."
And that's when I lost it.
"HOW FU**ING DARE YOU?!?! WHAT THE HELL IS YOUR PROBLEM?!?! WHAT DO YOU WANT FROM ME?!?" I roared as I slammed Pretty Boy's face into the gravel. We were in a back alley. It was deserted and I had dragged Jake in here right after school. I had skipped school for the of the time after storming out of John's office.
"A-alex? Let me explain!" He pleaded.
"LIKE HELL YOU WILL!" I screamed and shoved him roughly again. He winced as his head hit the wall. I had backed him up to a dark corner.
"How dare you? Why are you prying into my life? Why did you tell the PRINCIPAL? Can't you leave me alone? What is your problem?" I shrieked at him, my hands gripping his broad shoulders.
The next thing I knew, I was the one pushed against the wall and Jake was holding me firmly there. I was trapped.
"What are you doing?!?! Let me go!!" I shouted and struggled wildly.
"Alex! Listen to me!" He shouted but I didn't listen. Then, his lips came crashing down on me. I gasped. Jake Anderson kissed me. He kissed me gently. I shoved him back and wiped my mouth with the back of my hand. They were vultures. All men were. They won't leave you alone. Then, they'll just force themselves on you.
"You disgusting jerk. I hate you," I said quietly. Then, I walked away calmly. I didn't look back even once.
My mind was a whirlwind of questions that I didn't know the answers too. I was confused about everything.
But one thing I knew for sure.
Jake Anderson was officially my enemy. And I didn't play nice to my enemies...
