The Little Mare-Maid

Chapter 1

In the land of Equestria, and on the seas, the seagulls flapped through the cloudy skies, and the dolphins jumped through the waves. Out of the mist, a massive ship sailed through the waters. On the ship, the sailors that are alicorns sang merrily as they reeled in their nets full of fish using their magic. But one young allicorn pony had to be the merriest. The wind blew through his moderate sapphire blue mane with a moderate violet and a brilliant rose streak on it, and ruffled his purple wings, his purple skin, and his cutie mark which is a brilliant rose star with five white stars, three of them on one side, and two of them on the other side on it. His faithful dog named Winona at his side. And just who is this young stallion? Prince Dusk Shine.

"Isn't this great?!" Prince Dusk Shine with pure joy in his voice. "The salty sea air! The wind blowing in your face! Ah...Perfect day to be at sea!" He turned to his friend, Cranky Doodle Donkey who was looking a little under the weather. "Oh, yes...delightful." Cranky Doodle said before empting the contents of his stomach. "A fine strong wind and a following sea. King Rainbow Blitz must be in a friendly-type mood." A red alicorn pony with a navy blue mane, light blue eyes, and a blue rose for his cutie mark said as he tied the rope to the mass. "King Rainbow Blitz?" Prince Dusk Shine asked. "Why ruler of the unicorn, pegasai, and earth ponies, of course!" A blue ailcorn pony with a red mane, brown eyes, and a red rose for his cuite mark said as he held onto a fish with his magic. "Thought every good sailor knew about him."

Cranky Doodle scoffed and said "Ruler of ponies. Dusk Shine, pay no attention to this nautical nonsense." The blue alicorn pony got up and said "But it ain't nonsense, it's the truth! I'm tellin' you. Up in the city of clouds called Cloudsdale, he lives!" As he gestured wildly, he accidentally tossed the fish overboard, and the fish swam away.

-Meanwhile in Cloudsdale-

In the clouds, pegasai, unicorn, & earth ponies were gathering at the Cloudsdale Concert Hall. The pegasai ponies were flying while the unicorn and earth ponies were flying on hot air balloons. Once the concert hall was full, a little orange filly with a moderate cerise mane, grayish purple eyes, and no cutie mark, named Scootaloo came out and said "His royal highness, King Rainbow Blitz!" Just then, a colt with a rainbow colored mane, moderate cerise eyes, and a rainbow bolt with cloud at the end for his cutie mark, and a element of loyalty necklace zoomed past the ponies and performed his sonic rainboom. The ponies cheered at the rainboom. "And presenting the distinguished court composer, Pinkie Pie!" Scootaloo said as a mare with a poofy brilliant raspberry mane, light cerulean eyes, and two light blue balloons, and one light yellow balloon for her cutie mark named Pinkie Pie bounced out and bounced over to Rainbow Blitz.

"I'm really looking forward to this performance, Pinkie Pie." Rainbow Blitz said as they walked to his seat. "Oh, your majesty! This will be the finest concert I have ever conducted!" Pinkie Pie said cheerfully. "Your daughters will be spectacular!" Rainbow Blitz took his seat, smiled, and said "Yes, and especially my little Twilight Sparkle." "Yes, Yes, she has the most beautiful voice." Pinkie Pie said. As she walked to the podium, she muttered irritably "If only she'd show up for rehearsals once in a while." Once she got to the podium, she pick up the directing stick, and started to direct the orchestra. As the music began to play, Rainbow Blitz's daughters named Derpy Hoof, Lyra Heartstrings, Bon-Bon, Daring Do, Cheerilee, and Spitfire came out on stage and started singing. When a big present that's colored purple and pink appeared, it was time to reveal their youngest sister, Twilight Sparkle.

But when the present opened, Twilight was not in there much to the shock of her sisters and Pinkie Pie. As for Rainbow Blitz, he got so mad that he stood up and shouted "TWILIGHT SPARKLE!!!!!"
