Seventeen year old orphan has ran away from this location. 1778 Rue Way, California. If you see this girl anywhere please inform the police immediately.
I scoffed as I read the paper that slightly waved as the current breeze was going through the street.
I held on tighter to my handbag, as I finally let my eyes roam the picture that was put up so that they could identify me. Like if that was going to happen..
I thought ahead by getting my hair dyed a redish brown with a hint of purple in it. My hair in the picture was pure red, right down to the roots. My eyes are a grassy green, that couldn't be found on any one besides my pack or my family. Ever since my parents died I've had it hard, the funny thing is they only died a few years back on my birthday and my life is already miserable.
But I do have to say is that my parents weren't the best parents you could ever have...
*Flashback*
"Mummy, can I have some more soup?" I said my formatting into the puppy dog look.
I turned my head just as my dad walked in carrying a broken beer bottle. My dad kneeled down to my height and cocked his head to the side as if he was in some deep thought.
"Daddy? I want some soap" I said once again but giggled right after. "Oops I meant soup."
My dad had slowly brought up his hand to caress my hair, or at least that's what I had thought until he starting hitting me, yelling at me to learn how to speak properly. Then he just threw the bottle at my head. I had shards stuck in my hands feet and my forehead from that bottle. The minute my dad left the room murmuring something under his breath, my mom rushed over to me. Saying its going to be alright but I had brought it on myself, that I was the one that ruined their marriage.
*Flashback*
I hitched my handbag higher on my shoulder and I grabbed my backpack that I had dropped on the pavement.
As I was bent down grabbing my backpack, I heard an all so familiar voice that I had thought that I would never hear ever again.
"Honey, She could be anywhere by this point. You know how clever she is." The lady paused for a minute and looked at me for about a second and then continued walking. I felt a few tears trickle down my cheeks. My own grandmother didn't recognize me. Guess that was my fault for changing the way I look.My grandma turned around and took a good hard look at me. We both looked at each others eyes.
"I'm going to call you back." Grandma said.
My Grandma walked towards me and stopped a few inches away from my face.
"Didn't I teach you not cry? Don't wanna mess up your makeup now do you?" She said while she softly wiped away the tears that remained on my face.
I cracked a smile and quickly engulfed her in a bear hug. " I would have come to your house but..."
"Don't even try making an excuse an young lady." Grandma winked at me. Putting her stern face back on, she looked me in the eye and said " Now pick up you're bags cause your finally going home."
