I woke up, with the silk sheets tangled around my legs which were at my pillows and with my head practically hanging off the bed.
Ahh. It must have been a struggle to kill Caden, no wonder I am in the most awkard position. I slowly sat up as the blood that had rushed to my head slowly coming back down. Once I propped myself up against the headboard, I needed to go do my business. Talk about getting comfy then you need to do something.
I ran into the bathroom hopping from one leg to the other since the floor is really cold. I come out of the bathroom, after doing my daily routine.Pee. Brush. Shower. I came out of the bathroom feeling fresh. But I was surprised when I saw a boy, lying down on my bed, with his arms stretched out over his head, eyes closed. I walked towards the boy about to poke him in the cheek when his eyes flew open.
As fast as I could I quickly moved away from the curious looking boy. The boy chuckled, sitting up straight with leaning down on his knees. I carefully examined the boy sitting in front of me. The boy has brown eyes with brown hair swished to one side of his head. His superman shirt was slightly tight on him providing the perfect amount of muscles on his body to show off. He stood up, running his hands through his hair.
"Come down for breakfast." His deep voice surprised me as I stood there shocked. He smirked. "I you know that you like what you see but please keep the staring to a minimum." He walked out of my room, stopping then saying, "Are you coming or what?"
I followed behind him, watching his back move as he walked. Sensing that he was going to stop, I stopped just in time before I hit his back. He turned around, seeming a little disappointed.
I looked down scared that my eye colour may have changed. I slowly calmed down as I felt my regular eye colour seep back in. A grassy green.
I let out a huge sigh. I'm not sure if grams knows about this but if she does, it'll be really helpful.
I looked around the Kitchen, my grandma was standing by the stove making breakfast with two other older looking women. People were gathered around one side of the island grabbing what they could before it disappeared. Others were already comfy sitting around the table, idling chit chatting. I felt out of place. Home never felt like this. Nope Correction, Foster Homes.
I placed myself beside my grandma
"Good Morning, Sunshine" My grandma whispered to me, but not turning around to look at me.
"Morning" I mumbled back. I walked over to the island grabbing myself a plate, putting some strawberries and a blueberry muffin on my plate. I looked towards the table and the only free spot was next to the boy that I had meet yesterday.
I walked over just about to sit when the current Alpha walks into the room taking the seat at the front of the room. Wonder why I didn't notice that there was a chair free there too. Weird.
The Alpha held great confidence in his walk and just the air around him makes you know that he is respected.
The Alpha sat down, and quietly started eating his pancakes that were covered in maple syrup. Slowly the laughter and chatter reappeared. I sat there in my chair. Not knowing what to do, with my one leftover pancake and the half of muffin, that I couldn't finish eating, because of how full I am.
I haven't been this full ever since I was transferred into my very first foster home.
*Flashback*
I peered down the stairs, while carefully watching my step as I padded down the stairs holding my stuffed monkey that my mom had given me on my 7th birthday. I came upon the dinning table to realise that there was no pizza left just one small olive in the pizza tray.
I walked into the kitchen, looking for the foster mom. We called her Bells.
"Bells? There's no pizza left and I'm hungry." I told Bells, my stomach gurgling from my hunger.
"Well that's just too bad, now isn't?" She said sounding really pissed at me for asking her for more food.
"But Bells I didn't get any of the food." I said holding back tears.
"Oh just go piss off now will you Casey." She replied sounding more angrier by the minute. I did as Bells told and I headed up towards my bedroom that was shared with 3 other girls. Two were older than me and the other one was three years younger than me.
As I was lying down on my top bunk, holding my stomach hoping that sooner or later than the growling would stop. When I felt a small light tap on my shoulder.
I turned around to look at the person tapping my shoulder hoping that its someone that can give me food. Hoping that it's Bells.
"Casey? Stop crying, I heard you that you didn't get any food cause everyone else got the leftovers." The red haired girl stopped talking, and pulled something out of my fluffy coat. It was a small blue container. She held up the container and slid it towards me until it was within my reach. I looked towards the container then towards the little girl.
"What's this?" I mumbled having a pretty good idea of what could be in the container.
"I had some food leftover from work. You could have it I'm full."
I gladly took the container from her. From that day, I always slept with a full stomach. It became a routine, our everyday routine. Until the day she was finally adopted into a real home, with an actual mom and dad. An actual family.
*Flashback*Slowly I stood up from my chair. I lifted up my plate, walking over to the garbage can and I started scraping off the food from my plate. I placed my dishes inside of the sink, feeling guilty. That I didn't finish all of my food.
I looked around until I found my grandma.
"Grams?"
"Casey?" She replied in a sweet tone.
" I can't find my room."
"Oh Honey, Just wait a minute"
I stood there waiting when the guy with brown hair shows up in the living room too, plopping down onto the sofa.
"Mason, could you take Casey back up to her room, she forgot the way back up to her room."
So that's his name.
"Sure thing." Mason answered smirking.
As I travelled behind, Mason, I took little notes about how to get back to my room. I stopped walking as I noticed a picture that had two people, a girl and a boy in it. The girl had red hair while her blue eyes shined in sunlight, while wearing summer looking clothes. The boy had super light brown hair and grassy green eyes. They looked a lot like mine.
My vision started warping into a different colour again. My knees buckled around me but I didn't fall for some strange reason. An arm wrapped around my waist, and I was hoisted up. My colour was purple, I could just tell from the tint. I looked through my purple eyes to see that Mason looked shocked but fascinated at the time.
"Don't tell anyone" I whispered as quiet as I could.
"I won't" He mumbled back. I closed my eyes taking a few deep breaths, leaving the sensation arms wrapped around me had slowly calmed me down. I opened my eyes once again, having a feeling that my regular eye colour had returned. I pushed myself out of Mason's arms, standing up. I looked back at him. He was currently running his hand through his messy hair, with his eyes cast downwards.
"Umm? Can you just lead me back to my room... Please?" I looked towards the picture once again for one last time.
Mason walked around me, and walked a few doors down and said all gloomily " Here's your room" And then walked away.
I went and opened my bedroom door walking in but turning around to look at Mason. And I quietly whispered "Thank you." Closing the door behind me.
