School.

Emma was to start going back to school on Monday. She was secretly excited; at school she could starve herself and no one could stop her, not even the teachers. She wasn't tempted to get up and grab a few crackers, just a few. She could sit silently and come up with new exercise routines, new diets, more exuses.

But with school came gym and with gym came the locker rooms and with the locker rooms came changing. In front of other people.

Now, typically, Emma would just go to a bathroom stall to change, but the school was remodeling the lockeroom bathrooms. That meant Emma was forced to change right in the open for everyone to see how fat she was. How her skin rolled and folded over the pounds and pounds of fat. How her stomach flopped over the waistband of her pants. Or how the sleeves of her shirts left indents in her humongous, fat, pudgy arms.

And believe me, nobody wants to see that.
Nobody.

··········

After gym came lunch, the worst part of the day. Emma was forced to sit and stare while all the skinny girls ate as much as they wanted and didn't gain anything. Nothing at all. With the smell of thr disgusting cafeteria food, enough to make her mouth water.

Most days she was strong and didn't eat anything, but others she gave in and bought a salad. Now I know what you're thinking. Salads are good for you. It's a good thing she's getting a salad. But no. They're not goof for you when you're as fat as Emma. When you get out of breath just walking up the stairs from having to carry all that fat.

On the days Emma wasn't strong i was tough on her. I flaunted how skinny I was and pointed out how fat she was. I forced her to double her workouts. Instead of two hundred situps, four hundred. Instead of three hundred squats, six hundred. But still, it was not enough. Emma stopped losing weight. She stayed at the same weight for one month, never gaining, never losing. What a fatty.
