"Clear!" The nurse called out.

No more than two seconds later, twin paddles were being placed on Emma's chest. A shock went through them and into her body, causing her to jerk.

"Clear!" The nurse called out one more time.

Again, the paddles came down, but this time when they touched Emma's skin, she let out a moan, alerting the doctors and staff that she was alive and not, in fact, dead.

The nurses carted her off down the hallway and into a room labeled ICU. Emma tried to open her eyes but found it impossible, as if they weighed as much as an elephant. She tried to sit up but didn't have the strength, and when she tried to move her arms she found she couldn't. In fact, she couldn't feel anything.

Then, just as soon as she had gained consciousness, she lost it and fell back into a deep sleep.

~~~~~
"Emma honey, wake up."
A light flashed.
"Wake up. Please."
More desperate this time.
"Come one honey, you can do it."
Tears. She could hear tears in their voice. Maybe it was time to listen....
Emma let out a moan and sat up in bed, well, tried to. She didn't make it very far before her mom rushed over and gently pushed her back down.
"Ssshhh. You need to be careful, take it easy." Her mom said.
I scoffed at that. What she really needed was to get up and do a quick workout. She was getting fatter by the second, just lying there doing nothing. Disgusting.
"Get up." I whispered to her. "Do some crunches, maybe a few push ups. You don't want to be fat, do you? Get up."
Emma listened like the fatty she was and began to push herself up, but once again her mom stopped her.
"No, I need to get up!" Emma persisted, but still her mom forbid her from moving.
She tried again, and failed. But after all that moving, Emma was out of breath.
"That's right fatty, need to catch your breath?" I murmered.
Emma's mother, seeing, or rather hearing, Emma's struggling, called a nurse over. The nurse hands Emma a glass of water and walks over to a machine sitting beside the bed. Emma hadn't noticed it before. There was a tube going from a hanging bag into Emma's arm. More specifically, the crook of her elbow. After a second Emma realized what it was; an IV. They were force feeding her. Force feeding her for God's sake.
Do you have any idea how many calories they were pumping into her blood? Hundreds, thousands. Too many. Way too many.
This time I didn't even have to tell her what to do. Emma yanked the tube out of her arm with such force she broke the tube.
"Good." I thought to myself.
The nurse noticed right away and went to get a new one, but every second she was gone was one more second less calories.
I only have two words for you, Emma.
Fat thighs.
Love,
Ana
Hey so I hope you guys enjoyed the first chapter. I know some of the things might not line up with the ending of the previous book, but I wrote that one a long time ago and don't really remember all of it, so bear with me here. I'll try to make it as close as possible but I can't promise anything. But I've got to go because I just cut my mouth open on a piece of raw noodle. Thanks for reading!!
