I must have passed out in Lindo's arms. I went from a hospital setting to a very nice and clean room. I'm guessing the Tachibana house had a spare one. They wouldn't dare let that hospital care for me after the attack. Hmm... I just arrive in Japan, I get attacked. I wake up in the hospital, get attacked AGAIN. My luck is going down the toilet. I sit up in the bed a little sore and a wet towel falls from my forehead and onto the blankets. The blankets were very soft. Must have been recently cleaned. I can only guess by who. I look around the room and find my belongings. Laptop on a desk with my text books next to it, rug across the floor with not one fold or loose strings, clock and important pictures on a nightstand, clothes hung or folded in the open closet, and my small trinkets on a shelf. There's only one person who would do all this. Lindo is quality wife material.
I look over at the clock to check the time. 3:22 pm. It's also a Sunday today so at least I'm not missing any more classes today. I turn and crawl out of bed. As difficult as ever. The bed was too comfy to want to leave, but I can't stay in bed forever. I notice I'm now wearing PJ's. I pray Ritsuka or her mom changed me. Though, Lindo isn't one to be a pervert, right? Ah, I won't worry too much about it.
I wander over to the closet and grab something to wear, throw it on my bed, stripped off my pajamas and changed clothes. The clothes are slightly warm like they were out of the dryer only ten minutes ago. I kinda feel bad that they did all this stuff while I was sleeping. They work fast though, I must admit. I look out the window by the desk to the beautiful day outside and smile. I brush my hair to look presentable before leaving the room. I would go to brush my teeth as well, but I don't know the house layout. The room was at the end of a long hall way. I walk forward and enter a living area where I find the Tachibana family sitting and talking quietly.
"Am I interrupting a family meeting or something? What's with the whispering?" I ask, causing to turn and look at me.
A woman smiled. Her brown hair had a pinkish tone in it and it was styled like the anime mom's hair who always dies. "Ah, no. We just didn't want to wake you ______-chan." This woman was Ritsuka's mom, Maria Tachibana. "How are you feeling?"
"I'm just a little sore. It's nothing major. Thank you for letting me stay here." I bowed. This place does seem better than my small apartment. I should probably notify my parents later to let them know how I'm doing. I haven't contacted them at all in these past few weeks, you know. With being passed out most of the time. I feel like sleeping beauty minus the true love's kiss of a prince to wake me.
"That's very good! I'm glad your recovery is going well. Lindo and Ritsuka told me about the attacks. I promise you'll be safe here." She got up from her seat and smiled again. "Are you hungry at all?"
Now that she mentions it, when did I last eat? "A bit." More than a bit actually. My stomach sang the song of it's people as loud as it could now that it was offered food. Everyone stares at me and kind of giggles.
"I think that's more than a bit, ______." Ritsuka says.
"I'll go make you some food. Do you need anything?" Maria asked her children getting a no from both of them. "Okay. Be right back." She says as she exits the room.
Ritsuka scooted over and patted the seat next to her. "Sit down! You're a guest. You shouldn't stand the whole time." and I do just that. I plop down on the couch, lean back and close my eyes. It's so comfy. I reopened my eyes to see that both Lindo and Ritsuka were watching me. "What? Do I have dried drool on my face or something?" I say whipping my mouth.
