Extraterrestrials

As humans
Living on planet earth for 5000 years
We have been driving down a road
A road that leads us to knowledge and innovation

As humans
We consider ourselves to be the most complex mammals on Earth

But what if there is something else?
Someone else
That we humans have questioned before but consider it to be a myth?

A greater civilization

More complex than us

Striving in another galaxy

Those beings could have a different appearance and mindset than us

Who could have possibly climbed the ladder of technology
And opened the gates of immortality

What if they are aware?
Aware of tiny planet Earth
And aware of the seven billion humans who inhabit it?

Maybe they observe us
In their eyes, we might seem elementary
To them we might appear as little baby chimpanzees

Little baby chimpanzees that seek more knowledge and innovation

And one day
Those beings might see us advance further

As we ascend on the path of knowledge and innovation

The other civilization
Possibly millions of light years away from us

Will think that the little baby chimpanzees have gotten too far
And that those little babies are too rudimentary to possess such knowledge

And with one press of a button

The advanced civilization will destroy the rudimentary primates

The primates that could have gotten far
That could have reached the end of the everlasting path of knowledge and innovation

But alas
The little baby primates are to rudimentary to possess such knowledge and such power

And so the advanced extraterrestrials live on
With out the rudimentary primates

However
They are unaware of an even more distant, advanced society quietly observing them

Nobody is ever alone
There will always be other galaxies
With other extraterrestrials
Who are unaware of each other's existence

And one day
We, as humans shall discover the truth

That we are not alone

And that they could be living among us.
