Three days have passed and tomorrow will be the funeral.

My boyfriend, Cody Saintgnue, called me saying he'd be down tomorrow. I was thankful for that. He's been gone lately and I really miss him. I've also constantly been getting notifications from fans and paps. Some have even came to my door, asking questions non-stop. Eventually, I quit answering it and let Dylan tell them off. He wasn't as emotional as I was, anyway.

Though, today, Dylan went out to the store and I was left home alone. Grumbling on the couch, I threw a chip at the tv. "Stupid. You're supposed to run away from the damn ghost! Duh! Ugh, horror movies these days". Then a knock echoed on my door. I sighed, and waited for the disturbing person to leave. Eight knocks later, I finally storm over to the door and yank it open.

There stands a delivery guy. "What?" I snap, my tone full of annoyance. He stutters, "U-um I just h-ave a p-package for y-you, ma'am.", he scratches the back of his neck. "Okay. Then hand it over." I hold out my arms, waiting. His eyes widen, and carefully he begins to hand me the small box, covered in packaging tape. My hand brushes across his fingertips and immediately he flushes a deep red, and nearly drops the box. I gasp, in pure shock. Then glare daggers at the blushing man. He quickly apologizes and sprints, literally sprints, back to his truck. I watch him leave, then hurry back inside before any fans see me. My house is fenced but that doesn't mean no one can get in.

Taking the box to the kitchen, I grab a pair of scissors and cut the packaging tape off. Gently, I pry the flaps of the box open and push around the packaging peanuts. My hand finally comes in contact with the smaller box inside. I pull it out and realize it's a ring box. Slowly, I open the box, my eyes soon filling with tears. The ring was from Mom and it was the promise ring Dad gave her. He promised to always love her and to let her know that one day he would surely marry her.

Wiping a tear with my left hand, I slide the ring on my right ring finger. Looking back in the box, I find a letter.

Dear Aveline,
I hope you always cherish this ring. Keep it safe with you and know all the love that's stored in it. I know your father would have wanted you to have it, so I'm fulfilling his wish. It's always had a special place in my heart, and I'll never forget the day it was given to me. Look at this ring, and never forget your father. He'll always be with us, even if you can't see him. I love you so much, Aveline.

With love, Mom

I force back the tears threatening to burst from my eyes, and smile. The door creaks open and Dylan pretty much falls in, tripping over his own bags. I stifle a laugh and run over to help him. "Thanks, sis." I take a couple bags and put them on the kitchen counter. Dylan follows suit, and sighs. Then smirks and yells, "I'm homeeeee!" I smile and lean over the counter, thinking. Dylan frowns, "Hey, you okay?" I look back at him, seeing the concern laced in his features. I force a smile, "Yeah. I'm okay." He nods, then all of a sudden bear hugs me. Shocked, I slowly wrap my arms around his torso. "Av, I get it. Everyone's upset and you don't need to hide it. It's okay to feel sad and be angry. I'm not gonna judge you," he whispers. I burry my head in his neck, and cry. I let it out and sob, once again in his arms. Him expecting it, hugs me tighter and gently strokes my back. My cries echo through the silent house, carrying all my pain with it.
