i started walking to my car when i felt a tap on my shoulder. i turned around and it was ethan. his kept nervously running his hands through his hair. ethan talked to me but i could tell he was trying to get somewhere, maybe a date?
"man i'm hungry." i say, trying to remove some of his stress and anxiety.

ethan pov
i wanted to ask her out on a date. i kept a conversation going but i was trying to get to food or something..
she says "man i'm hungry."

i instinctively say "so am i. wanna go get some ice cream?"

melanie pov
ah. thank god.
i respond with a sweet "of course!"
i'm so pumped.

ethan pov
she responds (thankfully) with a yes that made me smile from ear to ear.
i tell her to jump in my car and i'll bring her back for her car later.

melanie pov
his smile after i say yes is the cutest thing in the entire universe. i get in his car and text my mom that i'm going to a friends house. she gets so clingy with these things.

birthgiver : alright. me and sammy will make dinner. text me when your coming home. love you!

as i was talking to ethan, he touches my forehead gently, and says "what're the bruises from?"

as i was talking to melanie, i notice bruises on her head. i touch them, gently. almost like i'm touching glass. i don't want to hurt her. i ask about them and she replies with a sarcastic comment, making me roll with laughter.

melanie pov
i say "just got in a fight, you should see the other guy." i wink and pound my fists together. his laugh is beautiful. i had to smile.

ethan pov
