Straton bolts out his front door, grabbing his gym bag, not wanting to be late to his session. He stops and drops his bag, hearing a shrill noise coming from across the square. He throws his bag back into his house and runs into his room, throwing on a large sweater adorned with a furry creature patch with large ears. There is a small light explosion and a human-sized ferret wearing a sweater runs on four feet across the road and to the base of a run-down apartment building, digging his claws into the metal. He springs up the side of the building and lands next to Palcon.
"Hey guys, what's happening? Sorry, I was going to the gym but I heard you, so... it has to wait."
"Well, there's a person getting attacked by a creature resembling a squid. Did you see anyone else coming?"
"No, but I'm sure they're on their way. Are my ears bent? My tail's a little ruffled I think, too." Serret grimaces and touches his tail. Palcon rolls her eyes and he bends over. She straightens his ears and Starhorse gets his tail wet, making it less puffy. He smiles and straightens up again. "Much better." Palcon and Starhorse groan and sit down, waiting for the others.
