Denis Laro fetched her daughter Gina using his big motorcycle in her school. Gina needed to go home early for she still had to prepare for a singing contest at 7pm.

Gina gave her bag to her father and rode on the bike. They hurriedly went home riding his motorbike.

As they arrived, Gina went up to her room immediately and hurriedly changed her clothes, combing his messy hair and tying her hair for a pony tail style and tried to put powder on her face then lipstick on her lips and on her cheeks.

As she went out of the room, his father is surprised "Oh youre so beautiful, my dear! "
and Gina thanked her dad.

Denis: wait, you missed something.
Gina: What is it?

Denis gets a big box from the sala table and gives it to Gina.

Gina: What's this?
Denis: Open it.

Gina opens the box and she's so happy to see a shiny red dress.

Gina: Oh Papa. Thank you very much.

Denis hugs her daughter and...

Denis: Go hurry. Change quickly. We might be late.

Gina hurriedly went into her room to change while his father is getting the motorcycle ready.

Gina went out and ran towards the motorcycle. So they rode on the motorbike again going to the contest.

As they arrived at the venue, they were many colorful decorations in the entrance. And as they went in many people were staring at her. She's curious about them and looked at her father. Her father noticed it too but reminded her

Denis: Dont mind them, it wont help you. Just do your best and be yourself, okay?
Gina : Okay, Pa. They wont let me down. Lets do this... Woh! 

So they approached the lady in charge of the show. They are told to stay at the backstage to prepare.
So they went to the backstage and while she is waiting for her turn, she does vocal warm-ups like lip drill, humming and etc.

A fellow contestant infront of her stared at her furiously. She also stared at the girl and because of her curiosity she decided to approach her.

As she was approaching, she had the feeling of hesitation but she tried.

Gina: Hi! I hope you dont mind me asking. But why are you looking at me as if you have a problem with me. Is there a problem?
Jona: Uhmmm. No, I was just curious about you. How did you change yourself? (and laughs)
Gina: What? What do you mean by that?
Jona: Just mind your own business. Let's just concentrate for our performance later. Good luck! Gina: okay. Well I won't say Good luck.
Jona: Huh? How can you...
Gina: God bless you

Gina smiled and turned her back from her. As her number was approaching, she got nervous. She shook her hands and body and jumped in place and she felt like vomiting but after that, she hids herself in a corner to pray before she will sing and perform.

And her turn came, as her name was announced, Her father, Denis howled and clapped aloud in the audience area.

She slowly walked towards the center of the stage confident with a smile. Gina started singing. The people are amazed by her voice and with her performance. For an 11 year old, she is extraordinary.

Many people are silent during the performance for they felt the song and clapped loudly as she finished it. She is happy to be able to give her best shot.

Then the girl who stared at her a while ago came to her

Girl: Nice job! But just wait and see. Heh!
Gina: ok let's see.

She said it while patting her shoulders with a smile.

The girls name has been announced

Host: And now, let's welcome Jona Razon.

While Jona was singing, Gina couldn't also stop listening and watching her at the side of the backstage. Gina thinks that she's good too but she knows that she did her best and God will do the rest.

Jona is finished and stood beside Gina. Gina told her

Gina: Nice!
Jona: Thank you

As they are standing besides each other, they're hearts are always beating for the competition is almost at its end. They are nervous and excited to know the results.

After all the contestant's performances, an intermission number has presented so that the judges will have more time to decide and calculate the scores.

UnDecided Dance Troupe did the intermission with powerful dance moves and wearing all blue.

The contestants are guided to their respective seats at the audience area to see the performance and to know the results.

Gina sat down with her father. They were so amazed with the group.

Gina watched them with a serious look and suddenly a picture flashed in her mind. A flashing pictures of men wearing all blue with their faces covered in a party as she watched the dancers wearing blue.

She's confused and got dizzy and turned pale. Her father noticed it and asked her

Denis: Gina, are you okay?
Gina: yeah. I think so. I just have some nonsense imaginations. Let's not care about it.

His father just nodded and they continued watching. And the intermission was done.

The host came up on stage. Denis held Gina's hands. They looked at each other.

Denis: No matter what happens, you're the winner. You did your best and that's the best.

Gina smiled and nodded and breathes deeply reapeatedly.

Host: Okay, the results are now in my hands.

Many people howled and clapped.
Host: Who do you think the winner is? (he handed his mic to the audience)

People were raising their fingers that symbolized different numbers.

Host: okay, let's not wait too long. I will officially announce the winners;
For the 3rd runner up, we have, Jemmalyn Roces.

Jemmalyn and her family went up on stage to receive the award and went down after.

Host: thank you Jemmalyn. And now for the 2nd runner up. Let's give a big hand for Mike Dagaso.

They did the same thing as Jemmalyn.

Host: for the 1st runner up, we have... Jona Razon.

Jona climbed on stage while looking at Gina. She felt a bit embarassed. They went down after receiving the award.

Host: And now, This is the time you are waiting for. Who is the winner for tonight's? Okay, I'll announce it now. So our Grand Champion is... Gina Laro!

As Gina and Denis heard this, they jumped off at their seats and hugged each other.

They were very happy to receive the award. The whole crowd were also happy with the results and cheered for her.

The show came to its end and Gina and her father rode the motor again and went to a classy barbecue house.

They are so happy for it's the first time that Gina has joined a contest with all the preparation since from the last 5 years.

Denis has enrolled her to a voice lesson every summer.

Starting her first contest and first victory they keep on joining singing competitions and casting auditions everywhere in the Philippines.
