This is the essay that I wrote for my final
Love is love. You shouldn't be judged because you love the same or opponent sex. You should be able to love who ever you want with out being treated like scum. Just imagine if being string was looked down upon and people judged you because of who you love. Love is a basic human right and on June 26, 2015 gay marriage became legal, but it is still a major issue. Some schools aren't allowing gay and lesbian couples go to prom together. They let straight couples go together but just because they are gay, bisexual or lesbian, they can't go with each other. Also if the school is worried about being sued by the parents of one of the straight parents because they allowed it they will get in so much more trouble if the parents of a gay student sued them. The LGBT would get involved because right had been violated and the school would be is some seriously hot water.
I don't care if me or anyone else being gay or bi is against "YOUR" religion it's "YOURS" not mine or theirs even if it is leave then alone and back off. The first amendment states that you have the freedom of speech, and religion as long as it doesn't impinge on someone else's rights. So shoving a religion in someone's face is unconstitutional. I know that people have there own beliefs and that grate for them but they do not have the right to ridicule some one because they don't follow the same belief. They also have freedom of speech but I think it is ridiculous form them to use that right to put some one down and make them feel like crap. Seriously of you can't say something nice don't say ANYTHING at all. God teaches up to love not hate so the hate needs to end. Love each other and be kind to other because you never know what you say can do to a person. Lift each other up not put the down.
Being LGBT doesn't change who you are. I'm not any less of a human being because I'm bi it also shouldn't matter if I were to be a straight individual. Some with all the other people all over the world. Even if I or they were straight we would be the same People. If I were to be straight and someone who wasn't came up to me and said I was hot or something like that I wouldn't be weirded out by anyone in the LGBT community. I would be flattered because it takes a lot of confidence to go up to some one you don't know and complement them. It would be even more difficult if you liked the person you were complementing. Well for me it is any way because I'm socially awkward and shy. Hundreds of people out there are terrified of coming out of the metaphorical closet because of fear of being judged or rejected by their parents and friends that they should be able to trust with everything. If the hate didn't except there wouldn't be controversy in the U.S. I'm not just talking about the LGBT problem but all the problems in the U.S. Love not hate. Build up not rip down.
