Sora's POV
Its been what, a week or 2 , since that day.
It feels like more than that. i dont know why. The gang and i were taking a trip to places. Looking for evidence, you could say. "Miko-chan,will you stop with my hair?" An annoyed Miyuki says. "Why? Your hair is so beautiful, Yuki-chan." Kimiko complains, smiling big.
"Ne, Sora-chan?" I look down to see our youngest member. Seven Year Old, Kyo. "Hai, Kyo-chan""Can we go get ice cream?" he asked me quietly. I smiled at him and nodded. Kyo is a sweet boy. He always has his manners and always treats people who he thinks theyre supposed to be treated, different or not, he'll treat you like a human being.
We head out and go to the nearest ice cream shop. I ordered what he wanted and paid for it. i wasnt much of a fan of ice cream but i got myself a vanilla cone with rainbow sprinkles.
We sat on a bench in the park. We watched how people passed by and how they looked happy. I look over at Kyo to see him staring at a couple and their child. The kid looks like Kyos age.
"Sora-chan," he starts,"Where are my parents?" At first i was shocked but tried my best not to show it. "W-Why do you ask?" I stutter. Kyo looks off into the distance. "I dont remember my parents. I have dreams but there faces are blurs." He says, licking his ice cream. A gust of wind blew as i stare at Kyo and he stares at the sky.
"Your parents were soldiers. When they were comin back home, they had you. But they had to be deployed again and they couldnt leave you. I was a friend of your mother for sometime and she entrusted me with you." I say, looking at the parents and their child. "Are they still alive?" He asks me after several minutes of silence.
"Sadly, your father died. there had been a failed to see bombing and he was blown to pieces. Your mother is in there and alive. Although shes mourning for her husband. But you know what keeps her going?" He looked at me and shakes his head. I point at him. "You. She thinks of you and she still has hope." His eyes fill with water. Tears stream down his face as he goes to clean them. "Is it raining? We should get home" He says, getting up.
I smiled and picked him up. "Its ok, Kyo. Its ok to cry." I say, as i walk home with him crying. 'A boy like you should be able to cry. Sometimes crying is all you need so that you can put on a smile. After all you still are a child. You shouldnt be holding anything in.' I smile as i glanced at the sky. "Thank you, Sora" I glance at Kyo. "For what?" "For saving me. Thank you for saving me"
'i hope your watching, Gou. Your sons finally growing up' i felt him smile down at me from the skys.
"Thank you, Sora."
