He's Back ...right ?

Chapter 3:"I missed you too."

Chapter 3:

**One month later**

Jake lay on my bed with his feet on my headboard , his phone in his hands and headphones around his neck blasting some maroon five.My eyes widened at the sight because he was the last person I'd expected see.Actually I hadn't expected anyone. I mentally cursed my mum for not telling me.I should have guessed from her devious smile but I had been too tired to ask about it . I'd dragged my feet up the stairs hoping to get to my bed and taking a nap.All that was out the window now.

"Hey" he said when he saw me. I swear his deep voice would be the death of me. "Hi" I managed to squeak out. Clearing my throat from the sudden knot that had formed , I made a way to my study table and took the chair under it ,facing it towards his direction.At the same time he lowered the volume of his headphones and put his phone in his pocket,turning towards my direction "So whats up?" I asked with one eyebrow raised,seriously wondering what the hell he was doing here.

Sure he visited a lot but never had I found him in my room before.He looked up at me with a puppy dog look that made me want to pinch his cheeks and put his hand over his heart feigning hurt"Oh so you don't miss me?" I chuckled a little at his overdramatic behaviour and rolled my eyes at him."I saw you yesterday." He stretched out his hand and pulled my chair closer towards him before yanking me out of it and pulling me on the bed.

His eyes had a glint of amusement and mischief in them.I knew what was coming next and I wasn't going to let him.My eyes widened before narrowing and giving him a deathly glare."You wouldn't." I challenged.The smile grew on his face and he replied"That's where your wrong babe.I would." And soon after he said that his hands attacked my sides.You'd think he'd learnt his lesson when I'd peed on myself but I guess he hadn't.

 Laughing my head off and thrashing around wildely, I somehow managed to turn the tables and now I was on top of him.His eyes widened when he realised this.I gave him a victorious smile while leaning in to whisper in his ear"Payback's a bitch." Before tickling him senseless. He sure had many weak spots for a guy and giggled like a little girl. He probably did the last part to distract me and it sure did work because in seconds he was on top again.

We battled a lot and soon ended up tangled in my cormfoter and sheets on the floor.We were both out of breath and breathing heavily side by side.We simultaneously looked at each other and burst out laughing one more time. A cormfotable silence hung between us as we lay on the floor listening to each other breathing.The peaceful silence was broken by him."I really did miss you" I blushed a little at his comment realising he meant when I'd gone.I said it to him to not daring to look at his face."I missed you too" I said truthfully finally realising that I actually had.I'd missed him so much.

Flashback

Jake held my hand as we run together to our secret spot in the woods.It was a clearing through the trees with a small pond and dense grass that we liked to sit or lie on.He smiled at me and I smiled back inside dreading that I'd have to tell him about the sudden move.

"Hey Jake?"I asked, blushing slightly when he turned to face me. I turned my face away only to have him put his finger under my chin and turn it towards him. This forcing me to look into his eyes making it much harder to tell him. I gulped audibly and shifted uncormfortably opening and closing my mouth without any words coming out.He chuckled at me and shook his head."You're too cute you know that?" He said before placing a soft kiss on my lips.Needless to say I was as red as a tomato blushing my head off.I turned away completely from him and stared at the ground,letting my hair fall on my face. I could feel his eyes burning a whole on the side of my head and I didn't dare turn.

But as usual I didn't have to .He turned my face towards him while delicately placing my hair behind my ears."You can tell me anything" he told me reassuringly.I took in a deep breath and let it out.Looking into his concerned eyes I couldn't help but lean forward and kiss him.But it wasn't our usual quickly exchanged pecks.It was longer and sweet and when we pulled away I knew I'd have to tell him.

"Please don't get mad at me."I stated right after.He laughed at me and when he stopped he said," You're my girlfriend .You can kiss me whenever you want." A small blush krept to my cheeks and embarassed I mumbled a weak "I know,"Before saying"But that's not what I don't want you to get mad at."I said looking away.And before he could say anything I explained it all too him.He's earlier excitedness had soon evaporated and he had this dark look on his face.

"How long have you known?" He asked. "Since two weeks ago." He nodded slightly and with one last look at me he walked off leaving me all by myself. I knew he was pissed that I hadn't told him about it before and bawled my eyes out over it.Even the next day at the airport when his family had escorted us he hadn't given me a second glance and only hugged me goodbye when his mother had threatened him to no video games .He really did love his video games .

I felt pathetic a month after that until I'd met Lucas and Tom and Raymond etc.Lets just say I'd already dated half our grade......

Jake turned my face towards him and his close proximity was tempting me to press my lips onto his which were only a centimetre away.I resisted the urge and looked into his eyes which had an unreadable expression in them."Im sorry I left you." He whispered softly as his minty breath fanned my face. I could really see regret and remorse in his eyes and couldn't help but tell him"I'm sorry I didn't tell you" I whispered back. 

"It wasn't your fault." he said almost immediately while running a hand down my face.I felt warm tingles where his fingers traced.

He looked into my eyes then down to my lips and back to my eyes again. He was asking for permission to which I nodded slightly.He started to lean in closer until." Claire! Jake ! Dinner's ready!" my mum's voice sounded from below. Startled,we untangled ourselves from each other and flew to opposite side of the room so fast.What the hell were you thinking!,my inner voice shouted.Did I mention I was dating Dan? Oh God I was stupid.

"We should probably be going down now" He said awkwardly as he moved towards the door opening it for me. I nodded and mumbled a quick thanks as I passed by him at the door.

Dinner was awkward and if my mum noticed she didn't mention it.After dinner I escorted him outside and with a quick wave he was gone.I stared at his back until he turned the corner wondering what the hell I was going to do with Jake less than an hour ago.I cursed myself for forgetting about Dan at that moment and how he seemed to pop into my mind as soon as Jake went.I needed help.And serious help at that.
