Very dramatic title for a third chapter, wouldn't you say? :P
Yeah, yeah, I know I left it on a serious cliffhanger. And I'm VERY aware at how much you want more of it. Anyway...
>SundaySmoothie as Cadence
>Romano136 as Aydyn
>Me as Hannah

Their hearts thumped as one with fear coursing through their veins. the figures hadn't moved, not even breathed. Their stance was one of strength and power, something they clearly craved. Cadence looked to her friends, hoping to get some help, or at least reassurance, but Aydyn was on the verge of tears and Hannah was staring at them, not even blinking.
"You seem scared..."
Just like that, they were mere feet from them, their cloaks sliding across the floors like silk. Cadence tried to stand, but her limbs felt like lead. She stumbled, nearly getting up, her hair coating her eyesight just as a glow of metal in moonlight caught her eye. It was a knife.
Hannah saw it to, but was already standing. She looked at her friends and simply let the metal blade she had hid in her sleeve drop into her palm. She had to shift her torso a bit, but another, larger blade slip into the other. She hurled the smaller knife behind the attacker's head, gaining his full attention, but still missing.
"Oh, we got a fighter among us! I like you, so don't get yourself killed!"
His voice was almost taunting. As if he were daring her to put a bullet through everyone's skulls. All attention was on her now. She stayed calm on the outside, her eyes never leaving the tallest one, who posed the biggest threat to her tiny self. But really, she was on the verge of breaking down, her limbs shaking as they advanced.
She was still trembling, but she had enough will to look up and see where her friends were. Cadence was thrown down by the railing, and Aydyn was stuck in a corner. She knew with all the enemies focused on her stupid self, they could get away. Then like that, her eyes darted to Cadence, the stairs, and then back to Cadence. She got the memo and took off down the stairs with Aydyn in tow.
She relaxed only for the shortest one to move in and try to throw her off balance. She shifted just in time for the blade, her only lifeline at the moment, to almost slip out of her trembling fingers. Her heart skipped a beat as she turned so fast and skillfully it could've put Micheal Jackson to shame. Her flesh crawled with fear as the weapon of destruction pointed at them.
"What's this?! SHE'S ARMED?!"
The voice split into two distinct ones. Their tones shaking with rising tension until all she heard was fading buzzing. The demented voice was gone.
All of the cloaked beings took a step back as footsteps thundered down the hall to her left. Her mind reeled when she saw a familiar blonde weirdo with a cowlick and a quirky gentleman running at her a full speed. She didn't have time to react as they crashed into her, America wrapping her into a tight python grip as England tried, and failed to wrestle the knife out of her grip.
She threw herself off balance, knocking them both off her. She lifted her head just enough to give her the most psychotic look imaginable. She took a step forward, everyone stepped back. The cloaked figures had stripped off there costumes, leaving her with the two dimwits, plus France, Romano, Russia, China & Canada.
"You know the old saying right? What was it..." She lifted the tip of the blade and tapped her chin with it as if she were really racking her brain. But at the same time, she drew just enough blood to steak down the blade. "Oh! I remember!"
She took a step toward the two, her normally happy blue eyes now clouded in darkness. She barely took another step as her friends charged up the stairs. The halted when Cadence saw both America and England on the ground, and Aydyn's eyes locked with the shiny weapon in her friend's hand.
"Til death due us part, they say. But to me, that never made sense. We meet up in the afterlife anyway..."
"D-Dude, are y-you okay? You never s-seemed this scary before."
"Am okay? Am I okay? You only seemed to care when a weapon got pointed at you! What does that say?"
"America, do you not see it? The poor girl feels alone. That's enough to send anyone over the deep end."
"I'm not just anyone in fact--"
She suddenly dropped the knife dripping with a stream of her blood, and clutched her wrist in unbearable pain. Her heart raced as salty tears ran down her face. Everyone ran to her aid, Aydyn shoving her way up as America picked up the crimson coated weapon.
"How did you manage to get your hands on such an expensive weapon?"
She looked up at him, her hand clutching her wrist so tight the flesh was turning white. "I could ask you the same thing." She rasped as her blue orbs stared at his weapon on his belt.
