Arlow yanked on his chains for what seemed like the millionth time. He'd given up on caring whether or not the pirates could hear his futile attempts outside or not since every move his hands made was accompanied by the loud sound of rattling chains. Letting out a frustrated sigh, Arlow turned his searing gaze from the ceiling to look around the room in hopes of finding something near him that would be able to help him.

As his eyes skimmed over the desk, he noticed a metal file lying on top of some papers. Grinning, he quickly kicked off his left boot before sliding halfway off the bed toward the desk. Standing on his right foot, Arlow stuck his bare left foot out as far as it would go, using his toes to try and grab the file. He fell just a few inches short and he looked up at his bound hands with a huff before carefully scooting his way down some more, stretching his arms as far as they would go. He attempted to grab the object several times and by the seventh try he was able to snatch it. Arlow hopped back into a semi-standing position and tossed the file up onto the bed where he bent down and picked it up with his teeth to transfer it to his hands.

The young captain made quick work of undoing his cuffs and didn't bother to rub his aching wrists for fear of losing time. Pulling his boot back on, loud thumps coming down the stairs toward the room could be heard causing Arlow to snap his head up toward the door. Laying abandoned in the corner of the room was a solid silver platter that was, without a doubt, stolen from a royal vessel. Running over to it, Arlow picked it up and jumped behind the door, hiding himself from the pirate captain. His heart was pounding in his chest that he was sure that it would burst any minute now.

The door slowly opened and as soon as the young captain saw the figure with their back to him, facing to wall preparing to shut the door, he lifted the platter above his head and swiftly brought it down, striking the person over the head. Arlow watched as their body collapsed to the ground and the tray of food that they had been holding scatter across the floor.

Peeking over the unconscious body he saw that it was not the pirate captain but instead it was a man in his late twenties with a scruffy beard. Arlow raised his eyebrows and looked from the platter in his hands and back down to the man before setting the platter down.

"Sorry mate," he whispered before stepping over the man's body and out the door.

Pressing himself to the wall, he slowly made his way up the stairs towards the deck. When he reached the top of the stairs he saw that it was now the dead of night and not a single soul was on deck. Grinning to himself, Arlow crept up onto the deck silently and made his way over to the area where planks would be dropped. Stripping himself of his now empty sword holster, and some other minor hindrances, he reached up to grab a rope securing a sail to help pull him up onto the side.
