After shooing Mattheus and Kian out of Parker's apartment, Parker and Carter decided coffee would be a great idea, "Coffee?" Carter asked.
"Coffee," Parker confirmed with a nod as they headed to the closest Starbucks .
When they arrived they were greeted by a fine looking barista.
"Welcome to Starbucks, how may I help you?" The guy asked.
"Chocolate cookie crumble frappuccino," Parker nonchalantly told the guy, whose name tag read 'Carlos'.
"Grande?"
"Of course."
"Name?" He asked.
"Parker," she replied as she went over to a table to wait.
"And you?" Carlos smiled at Carter.
Carter gazed at the menu for a moment, "Name's Carter and I'd like to have... your number."
Carlos grinned, "Smooth."
"I'll have a grande Java chip frappe," Carter smiled, handing him the money.
"I'll let you know when your drinks are ready," he finished.
"Alright, thank you," Carter said walking to where Parker had sat down.
She had pulled out her phone, and was scrolling through Twitter. Occasionally favoriting tweets from her favorite YouTubers. "Hitting it off with the barista," Parker joked.
"I mean he's not bad looking," Carter replied looking his way.
Parker looked up from her phone to give Carlos a good look, "Not at all."
Carlos was around 5'8 and hispanic with raven colored hair and kind brown eyes. He had nicely toned biceps and a London West accent. On his forearm was a tattoo of the La Dispute symbol.
"Parker and Carter," Carlos called from the counter.
Parker got up and grabbed her drink and walked away.
"Thanks," Carter said following behind Parker.
Carlos smiled a farewell, "Have a nice day."
Once they got onto the street they began heading to work. Carter sighed and checked the time on her phone.
"Looking forward to seeing Mattheus?" Parker yawned.
"Not really," Carter lifted her drink up to her lips to take a sip when she noticed something scribbled on the cup.
Parker noticed Carter's hesitation quickly, "What? What is it?"
Carter giggled and rolled her eyes, "Oh my goodness."
"What??"
"Remember when I asked for his number?"
Parker nodded.
"And how he didn't really answer me?"
Parker nodded again.
"Well..."
"HE DIDN'T!" Parker widened her eyes, surprised.
"He did," Carter laughed, showing the cup to Parker.
On the side of Carter's cup was Carlos's number along with a quickly doodled drawing of a t-rex saying 'Don't let my small arms fool you! I can still sweep you off your feet'.
"Oh my god, what a cutie," Parker laughed.
"The dino or Carlos...?" Carter grinned.
"Both," She chuckled, "You should probably get his number into your phone."
