You and the squad were just in line at the end of an HITM concert, and you're waiting for a chance to meet them, just like everyone else.
"Do you think Jawan's fine ass will think I'm wifey material?" YBFF fretted and the rest of you laughed.
She was joking, of course. Who cares what he thinks? I mean he's fine, but if he doesn't notice how gorgeous you are, then he's not worth it.
The same goes for the other two niggas in that band, You thought.
You guys got to the front of the meet-n-greet line, where you found HIM waiting.
After everyone took pictures and hugged and stuff, the conversation eventually went to the guys' prom photos on Instagram, and the fact that you guys' prom was this weekend.
"We all know YN is going with Jabarie," one of your friends laughed, and you cringed.
"No the fuck I'm not," you growled.
"I'm sorry," she laughed. "I just assumed that you would be going to prom with your boyfriend."
"Drop it, yo," YBFF said through gritted teeth.
"I just don't get what the big deal is! There's no need to lie because they're here-"
"Jabarie cheated on me!" You yelled, on the verge of tears. "He was dating some cheerleader from Thompson high the same time as me. So I'm not going with him; I'm not even talking to him."
"I'm so confused," Dylan whispered to Jawan, who shrugged.
"Jabarie was my first love. We went out for three years, and we've known each other since we were eight... He broke my heart and I don't want to talk about it anymore."
Pryce smacked his teeth, then turned to Jawan and Dylan. "How am I supposed to compete with that?!"
YBFF frowned, defending you. "What's that supposed to mean?!"
"Don't get mad," he shook his head. "I was just gonna say that I thought YN was really gorgeous and that I would be honored to go to prom with her since we're going to be in town for a few more weeks."
What would you say/ do?
