Chapter 8 The Royal Ball

Tonight is the night. Ito na ang pinakahihintay kong event for this year... the royal ball. This is the annual event where campus royals shine in their fancy dresses and well-cut suits. When you get to be invited, para ka na ring nakapunta sa Emmys or Oscars. Ganito ka-prestigious ang promenade ng St. Martin's University.

And of course, I'm here to grace this very wonderful gathering... a gathering of campus stars. I, Katy Perez, the Queen Bee, opens this event. Lights... camera... smile!

All eyes are on me as I entered the ball. Dahan-dahan akong bumaba ng grand staircase, in my elegant red dress. One by one, the crowd began to notice my presence. Lahat, tumitingin sa 'kin. Lahat, humahanga. They clap their hands while showing their amazement. Amazing! Nganga ang mga boys!

"I love her outfit! So trendy yet classy!", sigaw ng isa kong classmate. Thanks, girl!

Masaya maging ako, but always remember that glamour comes with a price. 'Pag Queen Bee ka, hindi ka basta-basta makakakain ng marami. Hindi ka basta makakasayaw nang bigay-todo. Dapat, hinay-hinay lang sa pagkilos.

Small bites... a little of everything... that's how to eat at a royal ball. When you want to dance, dapat hindi masyadong magaslaw. Graceful is the right word to describe a Queen Bee's movements.

Sa boys? Tingin tingin lang. You can't have 'em all... lalo na kung taken ka na. Speaking of being taken, nasa'n na nga pala 'yung knight in shining armor ko? Pagkahatid niya sa 'kin dito, bigla na lang siyang nawala. He said that he has a surprise for me. Ano naman kaya 'yun? I can't wait to find out.
