Asher pov

It's been three months. My birthday has come and gone. And so has tesses. I didn't find my mate. Which I'm actually happy about. It wouldn't be fair. To have a mate that loves me. When I'm already in love with someone I can't have.

I'm sitting on my balcony in a small couch. Holding the book I've read for the past three months. She left it here with a sticky note that read;

I know your not much of a reader. But This is my favorite. You should probably read the first two before though.

In her curly writing. After reading the first two books I read this. It's as if I have a piece of Tess. She highlighted her favorite lines in orange highlighter. I read those the most and write then on paper when I get bored and want to doodle. I think about her all the time. I wonder what she's up to.

I slept in the room she stayed in when she came over for Christmas break because it smelled like her. Soon the sent faded. And I went back to my room.

I talk to Trent a lot. We text mostly. He wants me to visit soon and meet his mate. But I haven't felt up to do anything since camp.

I go into the kitchen pouring me a bowl of cereal. When my dad comes in.

"I can't even go out side without smelling them." He says disgusted

"Do you think they'll attack?" I ask.

"No if they were going to they would have by now. But why would so many rouges come to one spot?"

"Maybe they are trying to form they're own pack" I say taking a bit of food.

"That could be it. But rouges don't do that kind of thing unless they have a person of power who actually is or was an alpha. And alphas rarely go rouge." Dad says running a hand thigh his brownish gray hair.

"as long as they don't mess with us then I don't care what they do" my father nods in agreement

I go into the main pack house where Phillip and his new found mate Riley sit.

"What's up Phillip?"

"Not much. We haven't seen any thing out of the ordinary for a while. But I can smell those vial things out side.

"So can I" I grimace. I look over and see a hot pink blob. But as the blob gets closer I notice it's also orange. And a person.

"Hey babe" I roll my eyes at her high pitched voice

"Hi Patricia"

"I missed you did you miss me?" She asks getting all over me. I push her off

"Any how. What are you guys watching?" I ask Philip

"Jaws wanna watch?" I nod and sit. Patricia siting next to me

I try to slide away from her. But she just gets closer. I want to throw her against the fucking wall

"This movie is boring" she says trailing her fingers down my arm "how about we go to your room and do it?" She whispers

"How about no" I say annoyed

"Come on I haven't seen you since alpha camp started. And I miss you giant-"

"Patricia leave" I growl

"But-"

"Now!" She whimpers and walks out. I roll my eyes when the phone begins to ring.

"What?!" I ask rudely still aggravated

"Oh that God! Alpha you have to help her!" I man says

"Who is this?" I ask

"It's me Trevor. You need to help her you owe me a favor!" He says frantic

"What's going on?"

"He father he caught Justin and gale in the act. He was going to kill him so Tess pushed him. And he's beating her. Bad she won't live if it doesn't stop."

Trevor never hears my resonse because I've already shifted and ran out the door

Sorry about the short chapter. It's just something to lead up to the next chapter which I think you all will love. So again I apologize for the tiny chapter i might update a little earlier for you guys❤️
