It's been 2 years since my parents died. Me and my brother Leon are staying with my best friend Amia. But something about that night still sticks with me. The robbers. And one in particular. Ray. I wonder what happened to him. Is he in jail? Hey, I don't care as long as I don't see him ever in my life. But the problem is, me and Leon are still stuck in LA. Damn I need some money. Right fucking now. If only I had an idea.

Me and the girls were in the park. I had to get my mind off a couple of things, so I decided to hang with them for today. Leon was with a babysitter I hired to watch him. Amia was blasting the latest hip-hop songs in her old, raggedy car. But hey, it was an original car.

"Damn Amia. When you gon fix this rusty piece of shit up?" A guy named Lester said. Lester was one of our homies growing up. This nigga would never change.

"Don't worry bout my shit, nigga." Amia said throwing up the middle finger in the process.

"Hey Tasha, I heard about what happened. Keep your head up girl."

"I will."

Lester drove off. He was still laughing at Amia about he car.

"Don't worry Mia. Your shit is original!" I laughed.

"Damn right. "

Kayla was standing in front of the car playing with her 1-year-old son Bryson. She got pregnant by her ex-boyfriend who is now in jail for muder. Her parents turned their backs on her now, she is fighting for her son and herself.

"Kayla, he is getting bigger by the second. "

"Yeah. I love to watch him grow every day. " She smiled at me.

Behind that smile, I knew it was pain and hurt. Having barley any family member to support her and her child's father is in prison. Who did she have? She had her best friends.

"Well you know what we're always here for you. Remember that. "

Me and Kayla were talking for about 10 minutes. Then four familiar faces were walking up towards me. Then I seen that one face that sickened me.
