The days fall silent and somber
like your footsteps on my lawn,
barefoot you walked
on the freshly cut grass.
Your warmth still lingers
on my window sill
like the tender sunrays
of these beautiful autumn days.
The scent of freshly brewing coffee
still reminds me of our mornings together,
the patio chairs still yearn for your touch.
The walls still echo longingly
your voice, your whisper quiet words.
Why does this season do that?
Remind me you so?
The times we spent together
the times of Autumn Love.
