Chapter 4: Death

Asha's POV

2 weeks later

I was wasted last night. Not the typical  one though, my kind of wasted is all about having a mystery movie marathon which includes Detective Conan and Sherlock Holmes and well stuffing my mouth with foods. So yes, I'm wasted.My head feels like bursting out anytime so-

*phone buzzing*

I stirred, finding myself talking with Se Yah on the phone. " Yah, Se Yah-ah, it's early in the morning and you're calling me. I'm surely gonna kill you.", I said almost screaming."Asha!! I need you right now, my fathe-", she said in a whisper like tone. what the hell, don't tell me something bad has happened to Mr. Jung.

I hurriedly grab my car keys, phone and wallet. I started the car and went to her house which is a 20 minute drive.

I parked my car and, yes, I am too late. He was there, his corpse was. It was an utter chaos with forensics and police officers investigating. I hurriedly went and hug Se Yah. She was crying out loud and I tried all my might to shush her but I still can't, so well I let her cry.

Se Yah looks like she was about to collapse so I led her to her room, placed a pillow and a blanket. I also placed a cup of water and some medicines on her bed side table.

The inspector told that it was a suicide that led to his death, according to their investigation. But I don't think so,  the scene was made to look like an accident. And his corpse have some lines that looks like someone strangled him to death. The suspect got rid or might kept the evidence, I see. But what's unbelievable is that at the said estimated of death I am very sure that the only people in this house is the Jung family which is Se Yah, Mrs. Joo Ah , her mom and his younger brother Yoo Min. And based on the security system, no one even dared to enter the family's lot. what the h is happening.

I went to Se Yah's room to check if she's okay. I opened the door and entered when A man who's clothed with all black is about to kiss Se Yah and well stopped when I 'coughed', both Se Yah and the man was shocked, wait, I've seen this man before, I'm sure I did. Wait, isn't that the one who's been blamed due to the accidents caused by his guitar. What the hell is he doing here.

" Ah, uhm he's my cousin.", Se Yah said looking away from my eyes. Strange, she does that when she lie. " Myungsoo, Kim Myungsoo.", the guy stood and bowed, I did the same. " Oh uhm sorry I was just here to see Se Yah, so yeah I'd be outside if you guys need something.", I smiled and walked out.

I was dumbfounded. Why the hell would they kiss of they're relatives right??My bad. I just shrugged it off and went to investigate more.

I approached the inspector and told that it wasn't a suicide but a murder. He looks like he was about to laugh out loud when I told him that he's been strangled to death.The suspect left the chair on the corpse's side in purpose to show that it was suicide, but I don't think so, If he hanged himself then there would be something above where in he could put the thing he is to use to hang himself right?

I told my deduction to the inspector and he let his officers investigate to see if I am right. " Inspector, a rope was found on a garbage bin on the bathroom. It was inside a soda can sir, it might be the one used on strangling the victim," said the officer. That rope, I once saw that on Se Yah's room, she kept it hidden on a vault but due to my curiosity, I ended up finding it with a note, "Revenge", Don't tell me it was her.Don't tell me it was Se Yah who killed her own father. Ahhhh. What the hell is this. My best friend is a murderer?

The inspector called the three family members to ask their alibis, starting on Mrs. Joo Ah, Se Yah and Yoo Min. Mrs.Joo Ah said that she was still sleeping together with Yoo min at the said time until she was awaken by Se Yah's loud screaming voice.It was strange during Se Yah's questioning. She told lies. Her alibis are all lies. She said she woke up after hearing a loud thud, but Se Yah for I know is a heavy sleeper. And also, I noticed that she set her alarm at 7:00 in the morning which is 30 minutes before Me Jung's death, enough time to strangle somebody and manipulate the crime scene, but she never set her alarms. She was the one who discovered the corpse and there is a hundred chance that she did it, but why? Why would she?
