I turn my head when I hear my name being called,"Elizabeth Lillian Reid!" she shouts but I keep running. I need a place to go, and fast.
I end up finally at Page's house, doubled over from breathing heavily. She answers the door quietly sucking on a lollipop,"Hi?" she asks. Sure we've known each other forever but that doesn't mean I can just show up wearing a dark cape and heavy makeup saying,'hey let me in.' so after I take a breather I smile and run my fingers through my hair,"Okay, wanna hang out? Now." I ask, no, I beg hearing my mother in the distance.
She's calling out and Paige can hear, pulling me inside and locking the door,"You're Elizabeth right?" she asks and I shrug,"people call me liz but yeah." I decided on the name liz when I got into more heavy music, it sounds more punk and heavy so i coined it myself
"So Paige, what do you wanna do?" I ask, rocking on my toes,"I'm Caleb by the way, I like that name better." she smiles and I shake her hand,"Great! Liz and Caleb, Caleb and Liz against the world!"
