ISABELLA POV

The next morning, I woke up in my straw bed at home. Huh, strange... I don't remember ever coming back home.... That's when it hit me. The dragon that I met last night. I think it flew me home. I smiled, pleased that the dragon cared for my well-being. For the rest of the day, I couldn't wipe that smile off my face. My momma looked at me as if I was an alien from outer space, but still I kept smiling. When night fell, I sneaked out of the small cottage once again to confront the dragon once again.

As I walked towards my new dragon friend, it suddenly shot towards me and scooped me up. I yelped, but was having, and somehow, I knew this dragon wouldn't do me any harm. It placed my small figure on his gigantic back and took off into the night sky. I screamed bloody murder, until I gazed at the village from a birds-eye-view. It was breath-taking. The lights shined, the cottages seemed so much smaller, but it was mainly the stars among the sky. Wow....... As beautiful as it was, I could feel my stomach getting a little queasy. Oh no..... I quickly tapped the dragon's head, trying to keep it in. The dragon's head craned back to look at me, and when it did, it's eyes held alert and quickly dove downwards. Once we landed, the dragon gave me an apologetic look. I gave a small smile in return.

"Thank you, that was really beautiful... Silver." I murmured quietly. I had named him Silver because of his glimmering silver scales. The dragon must have realized this, because he stood taller and had a smug expression on his face. I let out a small giggle, and gazed at Silver lovingly. I loved Silver, he was my family now, and if anything were to happen to him... well, I would go insane! Silver nuzzled his head into my arm, and I felt safe. I held him close, never wanting this moment to waste away.
